At the USA Network luncheon held during the TCA Winter Press Tour, co-stars Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay were there to promote the Season 3.5 premiere of White Collar on January 17^th. The two hinted at what’s to come in these six episodes, that they will end with their biggest cliffhanger to-date, that they have a rough idea of where Season 4 will be headed, and how things could change now, with the possibility of Neal Caffrey’s freedom.

Matt Bomer also talked about his role in Magic Mike, about an upstart male stripper who is taken under the wing of a more experienced colleague and based on the life of actor Channing Tatum (who also stars in the film), working with director Steven Soderbergh, doing research with a group called The Hollywood Men, and acting alongside some of the best abs in Hollywood. I’ve often wondered who watches USA series’ such as Burn Notice, In Plain Sight, and White Collar. Honestly, I’ve never seen an episode of any of the above, so it has nothing to do with my thinking they aren’t quality programs. It’s just that I’ve honestly never talked with someone who watches them with any regularity. And, with that in mind, I’m proud to introduce to you another installment of “Jason is wrong about a lot of things.”

Apparently someone watches White Collar (more than 5.5 million per episode, actually) because Variety reports that the network has renewed the series for a 16-episode fourth season. The second half of the third season is set to air early next year with production on the newly announced fourth season beginning shortly thereafter. For those unfamiliar with the series, White Collar stars Matt Bomer as a con-artist who enjoys an unlikely professional relationship with Tim DeKay’s character, an FBI agent.

New episodes of the popular television series White Collar, about the unlikely partnership of con artist Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer) and FBI Agent Peter Burke (Tim DeKay), return to the USA Network on January 18^th. Answers will be given and new questions will arise, as viewers learn about the fate of Mozzie (Willie Garson), Neal’s most trusted friend and co-conspirator, and the secrets of the mysterious music box.

While at the NBC Universal portion of the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour, show star Matt Bomer talked about getting to do some flashbacks so that viewers get to see the genesis of the relationship between Neal and Peter, revealing bits of the mythology of the music box, and his desire to know as little as possible about his character ahead of time. Jeff Eastin is the creator and executive producer of the popular USA Network original series White Collar, about the unlikely partnership of con artist Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer) and FBI Agent Peter Burke (Tim DeKay).

After graduating from Colorado State University with a degree in journalism, he landed a position as director of photography on two Roger Corman films that were being shot locally, before heading out to try his luck in Hollywood. He soon wrote a movie that Jamie Foxx starred in, and then began to get involved with television, doing a UPN series called Shasta and creating Hawaii for NBC, eventually making his way to the USA Network with White Collar.
