The first trailer for The Big Bang has hit the web. Directed by Tony Krantz (Otis), the film stars Antonio Banderas as a private detective who is hired to find a missing stripper. That’s about all the plot I’m able to boil down because, judging from the tilt-heavy trailer, this flick looks to be a bit of a mind-bender in the vein of Richard Kelly’s Southland Tales.
Hit the jump to check out the trailer. The Big Bang stars Banderas, William Fichtner, James Van Der Beek, Snoop Dogg, Delroy Lindo and Rebecca Mader. Anchor Bay Films is set to release the film on May 13th.

Xavier Gens (“Hitman”) has agreed to direct the action thriller “The Fallout” and production starts February in Eastern Europe. ContentFilm International has taken worldwide sales rights to the film on the eve of AFM (American Film Market). The film is set in post-apocalyptic New York and it’s being billed as “a thriller that combines elements of Assault on Precinct 13 with Lord of the Flies in a story of survival.” More after the jump:

Comic book publishing company Platinum Studios, not to be confused with Platinum Dunes, will be joining forces with producer Tony Krantz (“Mulholland Dr.”) to develop a live-action adaptation of the graphic novel “Mal Chance” with Scott Murphy (“Star Wars: The Clone Wars”, “Angel”) writing the screenplay. The graphic novel which tells the story of an assassin named Lola who has been targeted for death by a powerful gangster will be joining the recently announced “Cowboys and Aliens” as one of the new Platinum Studious properties which aim to make it to the big screen soon. You can get all the details when you hit the jump.
