by Christina Radish    Posted: August 3rd, 2010 at 3:12 pm

The TNT drama Dark Blue follows the lives of an undercover team of Los Angeles police officers so covert that many of their own colleagues don’t even know they are involved. Supervised by Lieutenant Carter Shaw (Dylan McDermott), Season 2 will see the team forced to take orders from FBI Agent Alex Rice, played by show newcomer Tricia Helfer, who is also the love interest for Carter.

During an interview to promote Season 2, Battlestar Galactica star Tricia Helfer talked about the appeal of this new role, her chemistry with Dylan McDermott and her desire to juggle a film career with the show. Check out what she had to say after the jump:

The TNT action drama Dark Blue, which follows an elite team of undercover detectives, returns for it’s second season on August 4th. In the world of law enforcement, being an undercover cop is among the most dangerous jobs. It’s a huge adrenaline rush while, at the same time, it jeopardizes the lives of anyone who does it.

During an interview to promote the new season, actor Dylan McDermott talked about working for Jerry Bruckheimer, the joy in playing such a challenging role and how glad he is for the addition of Tricia Helfer. Check out what he had to say after the jump:

Andrew Paquin put his directorial debut Open House on the market at Tribeca and spilled the shoot’s bloody details to Collider, along with two of his stars, Rachel Blanchard (Snakes On A Plane) and Brian Geraghty (fresh off The Hurt Locker‘s Oscar wins).  As the title indicates, Alice (Blanchard) opens her home to prospective buyers.  A cold-blooded killer (Geraghty) slips in and hides out until he can take her hostage and slay some houseguests with the help of his sociopathic partner, Lila (Battlestar Galactica‘s Tricia Helfer).  True Blood‘s Golden Globe winner Anna Paquin (yes, she’s Andrew’s sister) and her real-life fiancée/series co-star Stephen Moyer make extended cameos.

Hit the jump for the full interviews to hear why Paquin’s house suffered for his art, what it’s like to direct your future brother-in-law in a sex scene that did not involve the bride-to-be, how Blanchard bonded with Geraghty before she was bound by him, and what Ben Stiller told Geraghty about the Oscar-winning ride of The Hurt Locker.

CHUCK The Complete Second Season Blu-ray Review

Wouldn’t it be nice to wake up and be a secret agent overnight?  As the titular lead of the television show Chuck, Chuck Bartowski would probably say it’s not so nice, but he’s had his fair share of adventure and lady love.

For those who need a download of information on the series, brace yourselves.  Chuck works for the Nerd Herd department of a Burbank Buy More store, an ode to Best Buy’s Geek Squad (which, by the way, does have a Burbank location).  Chuck had a simple life until he opens an email sent from his former college roommate and the whole of the United States’ secret information gets downloaded directly into his brain.   More after the jump.

Bryan Singer may be ready to reboot Battlestar Galactica (again) on the big screen, but the critically acclaimed Syfy series isn’t quite over. The show ended last Spring, but one last 90 minute special, Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, will be hitting DVD and Blu-ray October 27. Admiral Adama himself, Edward James Olmos directed the special, with Jane Espenson as a writer and executive producer. What it’s about and the DVD cover art after the jump.

Okay, so, an easy rider, a casino thief, a Cylon, and Juno’s dad enter a bar.  When they come out they realize they signed on to star in a film called “A Beginner’s Guide to Endings,” says The Hollywood Reporter.  Actually, they said that Dennis Hopper, Scott Caan, Tricia Helfer, and J.K. Simmons agreed to roles for the dark comedy from newcomer Jonathan Sobol – but my story involves a bar.  Click the jump to hear more about the project and fewer bad jokes.
