Earlier today was the first major press day for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. While other press tours for the Twilight movies have started in other countries, for Eclipse, Summit elected to start to press tour here in Los Angeles. Thankfully, I got an invite, and after the jump you can watch the Robert Pattinson press conference on video! While studios are usually very strict about recording devices during press conferences, Summit allowed us to record the press day anyway we wanted. Big props to Summit for letting us use video!
Anyway, during the almost 30 minute press conference, Rob talked about what drives him as an actor, what was it like to work more closely with Taylor Lautner in Eclipse, what’s up with his music and will he contribute anymore of it to future Twilight soundtracks, does he check the fansites, how much does he prepare for his scenes with Kristen Stewart, he talked about his future projects like Bel Ami, Water for Elephants, Unbound Captives, training for the fight scenes, when did he find out Breaking Dawn would be two films and has he talked to Bill Condon, and SO much more. If you’re a fan of the Twilight franchise and Rob Pattinson, you’ll love the video. Take a look:
UPDATE: I’ve also posted the full transcript, so you can either read or watch the interview!

Last night at the red carpet for the MTV Movie Awards, I was able to catch up with Jake Abel (Percy Jackson, D.J. Caruso’s upcoming sci-fi film I Am Number Four) and Nicola Peltz (The Last Airbender). Abel provided us with some info about his part in I Am Number Four and said he was “one of the main antagonists”. Peltz talked about her role as Katara in M. Night Shymalan’s The Last Airbender and her next project, Unbound Captives, which co-stars Robert Pattinson, Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz. She also mentioned that she has seen Airbender (but only in 2D) and it’s “amazing”.
Hit the jump for the full interviews and make sure to check out my red carpet interviews with Jackass director Jeff Tremaine and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World director Edgar Wright.

Yesterday was the start of the massive Los Angeles press junket for “The Twilight Saga: New Moon”. While an embargo prevents me from writing my thoughts on the film (or I’d tell you), I’m allowed to start positing all the interviews I participated in, so if you’re a fan of Rob Pattinson, after the jump you can either read or listen to his entire press conference from yesterday afternoon.
The big news is what I reported yesterday. At the end of the press conference, I asked Rob “what movies have you committed to in 2010 and have you been told a tentative start date on ‘Breaking Dawn’?” He told me “I think the tentative time for ‘Breaking Dawn’ is fall of next year.” Also, he talked about his next movie “Bel Ami” and a western he might do with Rachel Weiss and Hugh Jackman called “Unbound Captives”. So not only are you going to get a lot of info on “New Moon”, you can learn what he has coming up. Take a look after the jump:
