A DARK KNIGHT Sequel in 2011?

Michael Uslan, the producer of both “Batman Begins” and “The Dark Knight”, seems to know something about the future of Batman that director Christopher Nolan does not – namely, when audiences might expect a third installment of the franchise to arrive in theatres. Speaking to New Jersey‘s Courier-Post newspaper (From South Jersey to You!), Uslan said that 2011 will be the year to watch out for the Bat Signal.

Of course I must point out once again that, according to Nolan, no script yet exists for a sequel to “The Dark Knight” – which makes announcing its follow-up a bit premature. Still, the director has said that he has some ideas about possible plots that he’s been toying with, so imagining a release that is two years off isn’t too terribly difficult.

Uslan is a bit of a blowhard (see his comments on the future of the “Shazam!” movie if you need proof) but as the producer of every Batman movie since Michael Keaton wore the costume, he has a bit more credibility on the subject than most. So seeing as he was in the mood to dish on a movie that does not yet exist, would Uslan also feel inclined to reveal which villains Batman might face in this still-imaginary sequel?

“It’s one of those deals where if I told you, I’d have to kill you.”

That means he just doesn’t know folks – I told you he was a blowhard. For more about the New Jersey “dreamer” known as Michael Uslan click here.
