Happy Holidays! Mondo Unveils Prints for HOME ALONE and THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS

     December 18, 2013

We all know that Mondo loves to end the year with a bang.  Some might have thought the giant Die Hard event was it.  Some might have thought their wallets were safe until the New Year.  Well Mondo dropped their HELL NO bomb on everyone today announcing we should suit up for one last online battle for 2013.  What is Christmas without the Wet Bandits?  Yup, we have a Home Alone print from Adam Simpson coming tomorrow.  That not enough for you?  Well there is one more print that has been long awaited. Not only is that a print from Aaron m’fin Horkey it is a follow up to his Return of the King print!  That’s right, it is The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers!  Hit the jump and dodge the paint cans to check out the images and all the other juicy info.

First up we have the very clever take on Home Alone from Adam Simpson.  Featuring the McCallister house and what looks to be every trap the Wet Bandits encountered in attempting to capture and rob poor Kevin.  I really dig this print and it just made me want to quit writing and pop in the movie.

The second print tomorrow is The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers by Aaron Horkey, in both a regular and variant flavor.  What can I really say about these that will be enough?  They are simply gorgeous and I must have them.  I honestly can’t say which I like better.  The regular clocks in at a stunning 14 colors and really evokes the feelings of the evil washing away after Isengard has fallen.  The variant is 7 colors and brings me back to the moment when Treebeard finally lays his gaze upon the treachery Sauramon has wrought upon his kin and Fangorn forest.  Also, if I am not mistaken, those two little hobbits look keenly like the actors who played them in the film…maybe we have some likeness rights afterall…

All of these prints will be for sale tomorrow, Thursday 12/19/13, at a random time on Mondo’s website (www.MondoTees.com).  Be sure to follow them on Twitter (@mondonews) as they will tweet when the drop is live.  To get all their up to date news, you should sign up for their newsletter also found at their website.  Well I hope everyone has their Mithril, ring of power, or reforged legendary swords, because the battle to obtain one of these beauties is going be one for the ages!  Good luck to all of you and let us know in the comments below whether or not your quest was successful or if you ran into a pack of Uruk-Hai.  And to Mondo making us open up our wallets one last time this year…”Keep the change you filthy animals!”
