The 2010-2011 season of TV is just now nearing the halfway point, but ABC has decided to preemptively pick up six of their successful series for another season. Today, via press release, the network announced the crime drama Castle, the half-hour comedy Modern Family, the sex comedy Cougar Town, the sitcom The Middle and the medical dramas Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice will all be around in the fall another season. Frankly, the only series I’m glad to have returning is Modern Family, which has quickly become one of the best comedies on TV. How about you?

what about no ordinary family? Are they going to keep making that?
Mark,
These are just early pick-ups for next season. The fate of No Ordinary Family will probably be decided over the summer after ABC sees how the full first season fares over the next few months.
I’m hoping it sticks around too, because I’m enjoying it quite a bit.
Modern Family’s losing me this season, but I’m glad to see Castle having success. It’s hitting its peak.
Never seen Castle but it has Nathan Fillion in it.
Is it any good at all?
Actually COUGAR TOWN is much more than a ‘sex comedy’, it’s a hilarious ensemble that for me has become more enjoyable than MODERN FAMILY.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Courgar Town!!! Soo funny – Courtney is hilarious!
The title of the show doesn’t make sense – its not like that AT ALL…
If you haven’t checked it out – then do so… now-ish
Very happy – thankyou abc
