The original ABCs of Death had some pretty outrageous segments, namely Timo Tjahjanto’s “L is for Libido” and, my personal favorite, Anders Morgenthaler’s “K is for Klutz,” but based on this new extreme red bad trailer for ABCs of Death 2, the sequel should have no trouble keeping up with its predecessor.  In less than two minutes of material we see a botched beheading, some flesh eating, quite a few gunshots and an abundance of carnage.

Hit the jump to check out the new ABCs of Death 2 trailer, but be warned, it’s very NSFW.  The sequel features segments from directors E.L. Katz, Jerome Sable, Larry Fessenden, Vincenzo Natali and more.  The film is scheduled to arrive On Demand and on iTunes on October 2nd, followed by a theatrical release on October 31st.

It’s hard enough to cram one feature narrative into a two-minute trailer, so attempting to represent 26 short films in a single promo must have been quite the challenge, but the editors who put this piece together took a smart approach.  Whereas the trailer for the original is essentially just a string of very brief snippets from some of the segments, the sequel’s trailer lets a few moments breathe a little before jumping into that quick-cutting A to Z montage.

Here’s the official synopsis for ABCs of Death 2:

ABC’s OF DEATH 2 is the follow-up to the most ambitious anthology film ever conceived with productions spanning from Nigeria to UK to Brazil and everywhere in between. It features segments directed by over two dozen of the world's leading talents in contemporary genre film. The film is comprised of twenty-six individual chapters, each helmed by a different director assigned a letter of the alphabet. The directors were then given free rein in choosing a word to create a story involving death. Provocative, shocking, funny and at times confrontational, ABC’s OF DEATH 2 is another global celebration of next generation genre filmmaking.
