Abigail Breslin Video Interview RANGO slice

Opening today is Rango, Industrial Light and Magic’s first fully animated film. Written by John Logan, directed by Gore Verbinski and starring Johnny Depp, Isla Fisher, Abigail Breslin and a slew of famed character actors, the film tells the story of Rango (Depp), a pet lizard lost in the desert who lies his way into becoming the sheriff of a western town. Things go well as he uses luck, gumption, and improvisational skills to fake his way through the job, but when someone steals the town’s water supply, Rango is forced to become a real hero.

As part of our weeklong coverage of the film we have a one on one interview with Abigail Breslin, one of Hollywood’s most talented child actors. During our interview, we talked about her friend’s reactions to her co-starring with Depp, the film’s use of “emo-tion capture,” some of her favorite films, and get a very short update on her upcoming film Innocence.  Hit the jump for the video:

haha, yeah i know. wow she sounds stupid

  • Alex

Why does she talk like that? I used to like her (Little Miss Sunshine, Zombieland), but now she’s turned into a weird snobby bimbo. I don’t like her. Not one bit.

Acts like a very grounded 14-15 year old which is pretty amazing considering she has a full blown acting career. Hopefully she stays that way.

“Critic” and “Alex” what are you cowards talking about? Care to back up anything? Critic, how would you like her to age more to your liking? Alex, can you give examples in the interview revealing herself to be “weird”, “snobby”, or “bimbo”? What on Earth?

Tip to the interviewer, try to LOOK like you care or relate to the interviewee even if just a tiny bit. I couldn’t believe how cold and callous you looked every time it cut back to you, I mean she was really trying to get some emotional feedback wasn’t she? Yikes.

  • Bumblebee

Maybe I’m wrong, but honestly it just seems like you’re all pretty hateful. I think both the interviewer and Abigail Breslin were fine. And no, she doesn’t seem to be aging well, or becoming some sorta “villain”.

  • Audrey

Okay, she really needs to stop saying “like” and “so yeah” and “awesome”. How old is she? She should know how to speak like a sophisticated young lady instead of a typical spoiled valley girl.

  • Sarah

I’ve always thought that Abigail Breslin could play Jenna Fischer’s daughter. I think she’s adorable, but she definitely sounds like a “Valley Girl”. This interview isn’t nearly as bad as when she was on Jimmy Fallon. She sounded like a Kardashian. At first, I thought she was putting it on, but that’s the way she talks. Anyway, looks like a really cute movie.
