The marketing campaign for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter kicked off this week with both the first trailer and an international trailer, and now a featurette for the film has been released. I’m still getting used to the fact that the conceit is being played super duper serious. They have to acknowledge the fact that Abraham Lincoln fighting vampires is ridiculous, right? It’s becoming creepily serious in this new featurette, as director Timur Beckmambatov and producer Tim Burton talk about the film with the utmost conviction. I’m still hoping the film is a fun ride, but I remain wary.Hit the jump to watch the featurette. The film stars Benjamin Walker, Rufus Sewell, and Anthony Mackie. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter opens in 3D on June 22nd. [Updated: We've added an intro by Tim Burton after the jump.]Here's the new (much less serious) intro (via Deadline) followed by the featurette:Here’s the official synopsis for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter:

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter explores the secret life of our greatest President, and the untold story that shaped our nation. Visionary filmmakers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (director of Wanted) bring a fresh and visceral voice to the blood-thirsty lore of the vampire, imagining Lincoln as history’s greatest hunter of the undead.
