International Trailer for CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER Reveals First Look Agent 13

     February 3, 2014

Last night during the Super Bowl, Marvel previewed its next film Captain America: The Winter Soldier followed by an excellent full trailer that landed online shortly afterwards.  The sequel—directed by Anthony and Joe Russo—continues to look fantastic, and a Spanish cut of last night’s new trailer offers us our first very brief look at Agent 13 aka Sharon Carter, played by Emily VanCamp.  I’m not entirely sure why Disney marketing decided to add this tiny bit of footage into the Spanish version of the trailer and leave it out of the U.S. cut, but nevertheless it’s a preview of the comics character in action for fans that are curious to get a peek at VanCamp’s Sharon Carter.

Hit the jump to watch the trailer, which is dubbed entirely in Spanish.  The film also stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, and Robert RedfordCaptain America: The Winter Soldier opens in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D on April 4th.

Here’s the official synopsis for Captain America: The Winter Soldier:

After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” finds Steve Rogers, a.k.a. Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy—the Winter Soldier.

Hey, guys, what do you think of that spanish dubbing work? Just curious.

    • el saint

      well translated

    • George

A Kia? Aiming kind of low aren’t we?

I guess they found a UK trailer with the same shot and swapped the link. Funny how they have slightly different cuts for different countries, I don’t see why they’d bother to have such a short shot of that character much less only put it in one and not the other. There’s also speculation about who is under the sheet, I thought maybe it could be her but probably not if she’s the niece of Peggy Carter instead of just some other random agent.

  • Sawyer

Why do the Marvel movies come out a week earlier in the UK?

  • Strong Enough

    Marvel continuing with their mediocrity

    • The Flobbit

Strong Enough continuing with his trolling.

      • Strong Enough

hey you agree with me sometimes. i see you thumbs me up :)

  • derek

Looks like this could be the best action movie of the year

    • The Flobbit

Over The Raid 2? I seriously doubt it.

      • derek

You are right about that. I forgot about that film. But I was more thinking along the lines of big budget pictures. You know the ones hollywood always messes up.

      • DoobieDave

Yes, because The Raid 2 is going to be so badass it will transcend the term “action movie”. If my head does not explode after that movie I will be let down.

      • heellen

Raid, was really overrated. A case of no character development or plot, with tons of meaingless violence.

      • derek

Heellen you obviously can’t take certain films for what they are. It may come as a surprise to you; but some artists are not looking to please the masses with your basic movie structure. Some artists want to make movies the way they grew up watching them. If that means shooting a bunch of violence. Well then that person is fulfilling their dream.

It just keeps getting better and better!

Captain America: The Winter Soldier will feature 2 after credit scenes, one of which will focus on two new villains called “The Twins”. More commonly known as Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.

Apparently they will look unlike any other Marvel character in modern film. Obviously this has some bearing on Joss Whedon’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.

    • DNAsplitter

They were added in to beat X:Men DOFP as it comes out almost two months later. Smart on Marvel’s part as they will get a jump start by showing people their version of Quicksilver (which i’m sure will look better than Singer’s version) and will only draw comparisons when the X:Men film is released. Again, it’s smart business move.

      • Lex Walker

Part of me wants to say it’s a dick move, but then again, adding Quicksilver to X-Men just after the character has been announced for the Avengers sequel was also a dick move. Fair game.

@ Matt Ridgway. The cinematic universe bases a lot of its characters on the Ultimate Universe.

Nick Fury IS “as he always should have been”
