Rupert Wyatt soared out of Summer 2011 on the wave of critical and commercial success surrounding Rise of the Planet of the Apes.  The director has spoken about where he wants to take the sequel, and he is locked in for at least one more installment.  I would be surprised if he has time to squeeze in another project before Fox wants to get the next Apes movie in production, but Wyatt is smart to set up a few options while his stock is so high.  One possibility is the spy thriller Londongrad with Michael Fassbender.  Variety adds another promising prospect in Agent 13.  Charlize Theron is on board to star in the sci-fi actioner, which is enough to attract such fine studio suitors as Sony, Warner Bros., Paramount, Universal, and Fox.  The details of T.S. Nolan's script are under wraps, but like the studios, I too am presold once Wyatt and Theron team up for original science fiction.

Those itching to see Theron in sci-fi and/or action need only wait till June, when she'll appear in both Snow White and the Huntsman (June 1) and Prometheus (June 8).
