Fast & Furious 7 wasn’t the only project that Paul Walker was working on before his unfortunate passing.  The actor was poised to follow up the seventh Fast & Furious film with the actioner Agent 47, but THR reports that producers have now tapped Homeland star Rupert Friend to take over the role.  The Fox International film is a reboot/sequel of sorts to the 2007 film Hitman and revolves around an elite, bald-headed assassin who sports a barcode on the back of his head.  In Agent 47, the titular character is tasked with protecting a waitress targeted by a group known as the Syndicate, though she may be more than she seems.  Commercials director Aleksander Bach is taking the helm from a script by Kyle Ward, Skip Woods, and Michael Finch.

Friend has been shining recently as CIA operative Peter Quinn on the Showtime series Homeland, but his feature credits include Pride & Prejudice, The Libertine, and The Young Victoria.

He looks just like 47 lol.

  • Werefon

He really does look like 47. As much I would like to see Walker in role, now we can’t do nothing about.

I hope Friend does a good job.

Why in the Blue Hell you hire the talentless hack as Skip Woods to write it? He already ruined first Hitman and DIE Hard franchise with Eat Shit and Die Hard 5!

    Fucking idiot punk ass.

Yeah the writing was bad in Hitman, but the writing was faithful to the character and video game. So that counts for something.

      • Werefon

You played the games right? How the fuck it was faithful?

They re-did his origins, his personality was different. He was emotional and bought a house for the hookah! Yeah, that’s very faithful and it counts for crabs in the ass hair.

The 1st film had a cool look but the plot was so confusing and the editing was just terrible that I lost interest after an hour into it. Timothy Olyphant is one of my favoriate actors in Hollywood and even he couldn’t save the film. Since Skip Woods is back in the writers chair I expect the same craptacular product that he always delivers (Swordfish, A Good Day to Die Hard, X:Men Origins Wolverine). I can’t tell if he’s a terrible writer or if the directors have all just executed his stuff poorly (John Moore and Dominic Sceana aren’t the greatest directors). But when all of your films are bad and by different directors I think the blame lies in his favor. I expect this to be direct to DVD by looks of it especially since Walker was the only pull for this film as his name had recognition to it since the revival of the FF franchise.

Cool look point goes to the director Xavier Gens (all of his movies look good).
Plot wasn’t that confusing it was trying to imitate spy-thrillers but failed at that very hard.

Also, how many times you will show Russia as it was shown in that. Do a research. I recognized every bit of Bulgaria that they tried to sell as Russia.
Russian presidents brother is weapon lord and be has multiple doubles in case be was ordered to be killed?

      Also, church shooting scene, c’mon.

Skip Assholens Woods put that helicopter shooting scenes in Hitman (which was in Russia) and the same thing in Shit Hard 5 (also in Russia).

I don’t want Rupert to shave his beautiful hair!

    • Werefon

Yeah, but if movie will be successful, you’ll see him much more. So, its good for everyone. Except fans of the game that will get screwed over again by a hack writer that ruined a few franchises.

Collider’s Allison Keeney probably orgasmed when she saw that title.
