Lash has finally come out of the shadows. After terrorizing Daisy (Chloe Bennet) and Lincoln (Luke Mitchell) on the season 3 premiere of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the elusive Inhuman will make a return during this Tuesday’s episode. In anticipation, the first up-close looks at the hulking character have emerged online.
Actor Matthew Willig portrays Lash on the hit ABC series, and AccessHollywood.com debuted a clear view of his transformation. Marvel and ABC describe Lash as “a monstrous Inhuman whose loyalties remain ambiguous.” Well, they definitely got that first part right. Executive producer Jeffrey Bell further teased during the season’s premiere screening in L.A. that, while Lash appears to be angry about something, viewers will “find out over time” what that something is. For now, you can check out the new photos of the Inhuman below.
In the comics, Lash made his first appearance in Inhuman #1 – Part 1: Genesis. Hailing from Orollan, a secret tribe cut off from the main Inhuman society, he felt only a few had the right to undergo Terrigenesis. After the mist was dispersed around the world, Lash made it his mission to find those undergoing the transformation and decide for himself whether or not they were worthy. It’s unclear at this point whether this same motivation will be used for S.H.I.E.L.D.
ABC released the following description for this Tuesday’s episode, “Devils You Know”:
Having reluctantly agreed to share information with Rosalind and the ATCU, Coulson and the team go in search for the Inhuman who is killing off other Inhumans, and May feels that Hunter’s mission to take down Ward is getting too personal, on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Tuesday, October 20th on ABC.
