First announced in 2008 with Ben Stiller and Reese Witherspoon as the leads, Deep Tiki stalled in development and was left for dead. But the reported premise sounds a lot like the Hawaiian-set Deep Tiki:
“A defense contractor (Cooper) who is overseeing a weapons satellite launch from Hawaii teams up with (and falls for) an Air Force pilot (Stone) to scuttle the launch. Mystical island forces and a talking a computer also play a part.”
Baldwin is in negotiations to join the impressive cast that Crowe always manages—Deadline expects him to sign on soon.
The script by Brad Ingelsby centers on an aging hitman (Neeson) who takes on his former boss, a Philadelphia crime lord, to protect his wife and son (Kinnaman). According to The Wrap, Harris is in negotiations to play that crime lord who, it turns out, seeks revenge for the death of his son. Production is set to begin this fall.
Kate Angelo‘s Sex Tape script centers on a husband (Segel) and wife (Diaz) who take a night off from the kids and try to spice up their sex life with a sex tape: “When they wake up the next morning, the tape is missing, and the search is on.” THR reports Corddry is in talks to play a friend of the couple who joins them on the search. Sex Tape is looking at a fall start date.
