In case you haven't seen enough of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 yet, Sony has released an extended TV spot containing even more new footage.  I'm curious as to why they keep doing this.  Are they worried people won't come out to see a Spider-Man movie?  It's Spider-Man.  People will see it.  It will sell lots of toys and other merchandise.  It's also the first movie of the summer blockbuster season (no disrespect to Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but summer blockbuster season begins on the first weekend of May; it's science).  Does giving so much of the movie away really benefit anyone?  I guess if you can't get enough of the movie before you see the movie, then you're over the moon about the company's marketing campaign.

Here’s the official synopsis for The Amazing Spider-Man 2:

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: Oscorp.
