Like most teenagers his age, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today.  In his journey to put the pieces of his past together he uncovers a secret his father held…a secret that will ultimately shape his destiny as Spider-Man.  This is the first in a series of movies that tells a different side of the Peter Parker story.  On July 3rd, 2012, the untold story begins.

In Men in Black™ 3, Agents J (Will Smith) and K (Tommy Lee Jones) are back… in time. J has seen some inexplicable things in his 15 years with the Men in Black, but nothing, not even aliens, perplexes him as much as his wry, reticent partner. But when K’s life and the fate of the planet are put at stake, Agent J will have to travel back in time to put things right. J discovers that there are secrets to the universe that K never told him — secrets that will reveal themselves as he teams up with the young Agent K (Josh Brolin) to save his partner, the agency, and the future of humankind.

It’s amazing and honestly hilarious how hard Sony is trying to get people to go see the new reboot of Spider-Man. I mean new posters and clips almost every week and didn’t they already have a 4 min sneak peak? Sounds like they are worried that the origin film nobody asked for might not do so well. Maybe next time they will be smart before rebooting something that really didn’t need a reboot. Nobody is even talking about this film at my school or work

    • jumbalayajohnsonjonesjahova

That would be true… if numerous sites hadn’t petitioned for a reboot literally only a year after the third film of the previous series, and that the film already has more than triple the Dark Knight Rises in presale tickets. In other words, stop speaking out of your ***, you’re just spiteful because they’re rebooting that campy series from 10 years ago. Don’t worry, when you grow up you’ll understand that some things NEED a bit of an update. Oh, yeah. mm-hmm, “work”.

Where the hell is your info about the movie already having more than triple the TDKR presale tickets? And if it’s true it’s probably because 98% of theaters don’t have presale tickets of TDKR on sale yet because it’s still 2 months away. Most theaters don’t put tickets up until a month before. I know the theater near me just put up tickets for ASM just last week. The only theaters that put up midnight tickets for TDKR were like 3 major theaters in NY & LA and they did it when MI:GP came out.

I’ll be laughing so hard when Amazing Spider-Man comes out and all the stuck up naysayers get their mouths shut at how awesome this will turn out to be.

    Never understimste Spider-Man.

Nobody is questioning whether this movie will be good but whether or not the general audience actually cares enough.

Actually, Liam, I AM questioning whether the movie will be good or not. IMO, it looks like a shiny turd.

It may surprise me when I finally check it out on Blu-Ray, but as of right now everything I’ve seen from the online clips (cheap and under-lit) to the marketing materials (cheap and photoshopped to hell) spells misfire.

Regarding your point of audience apathy, I do believe you’re onto something there– but I still think it will make decent BO worldwide because of the Spider-Man brand and miniscule budget.

Spider-Man is going to be a grade A crap fest and MIBIII will tank

What the fuck people? Why are so many hating on The Amazing Spider-Man?

  • ozzie

You can tell people are pretty split on here about this film … you have the pretend wannabe critics who are the ones saying this movie is crap and the ones who felt very let down by the aweful Raimi movies that portrayed some cheap knock off of Spiderman that fought a power ranger.

This series needed a reboot badly … This Spiderman goes back to the roots of the character … He’s a skinny wise cracking high school science geek that most people should be able to connect with.

We seeing the same people saying it’s going to be a “shiny turd” or a “grade A crapfest” without any explanation.

We keep seeing people gripe about how much Sony is marketing this film … that’s what studios are supposed to do guys.

Characters that people can connect with are what make movies. Not lighting or other technical things. This movie is pumped full of real feeling characters … after seeing it most will change their minds … the complainers here will change their tune to “it’s not as bad as I thought it was going to be” because you know they won’t admit they were wrong of course.

The story is told very well, the story has great foreshadowing, and the acting is top notch in this film .. you won’t be disappointed.

does Peter need a hook to hang on his web ?

    • Bob

You should read the comics or go on wikipedia to find out what those “hooks” actually are… FYI the spiderman in the comic books did not shoot “biologically-made” web…

      • tarek

Oh yeah ? But in the 70′s my Spiderman was shooting web through his wrists.
Plus…didn’t we see this Garfield pulling out silk from his back neck ? So, what’s the point ?
