Hi-Res Images from THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN

You know those The Amazing Spider-Man images we posted a couple weeks ago?  The ones that appeared in Entertainment Weekly?  Well now Sony has released some of them in high resolution.  I feel like I’ve reposted the same images eight or nine times but if you haven’t seen every single groove in Spidey’s costume, then have you really seen these images?

    the costume looks like the basketball skin or something plus for some reason he looks naked in his costume. i don’t like the costume but im willing to give this film a chance since they’re making this a realistic version instead of the sam remi version with a bunch of comedy in it. i think this is being trash before the film comes out and people need to give this a chance, lets just wait till the reviews come out and then trash it if its terrible.

      umm…Spidey movies are suppose to be somewhat comedy. If you read the comics you would know Raimi actually nailed the right feeling of Spider-Man by mixing action, serious-ness and comedy all together. This isn’t Batman and making it all realistically serious is the wrong tone for a Spider-Man film.

      As for the costume, I’m still not liking it. He DOES look slightly naked and I don’t like how the costume is built. The Raimi films had some of the best Spidey costumes ever. They looked so awesome that people actually broke into the set of Spidey 2 and stole several costumes. Not sure if they ever got caught though.

        Agree with Farzan. Though I think Spidey should’ve wisecracked even more during his fight scenes in the first movies. The suit is unimpressive, though I like the “skinny” spiderman a bit better.

      I totally agree you are destrying the chance of this charater having another movie. The sam Raimi spiderman suit was the perfect match to to the comic and the stories all though they had spiderman say silly things thats the character . make amazing spiderman a serious movie then why the need of the horrible 1970′s tv show /electric company suit. Any time this character tries to do anything serious I’m just going to think … hheeeeeeyyyy yyoooouuu ggguuuyyysss…
      and for you that dont know thats how the electric company show used to start.

      I think the designing of the helmet is one that is irking a lot too us if look at the overall costume. The helmet is not at all impressive-if it would have maintained its originality the way it was in previous spidey movies it could have compensated for the costume. Also i really dont understand but I think the head shape of garfield is worst for spiderman costume. The lens are terrible.

    Impossible to judge this movie for real until we see how the Lizard will look. Green Goblin didn’t look so great in the last set, though Doc Ock was awesome.

      Totally agree with you. I didn’t like the head on the goblin suit. It looked like something from the Power Rangers.

    even though i know the movie isn’t following the comics to the letter i still don’t like that she finds out in the first one :/

    this movie is going to be epic … all the hater need to move out of their mom’s basements, get a job, and a girlfriend (or boyfriend as the case may be).

    the costume and the actor wearing it are perfect for the storyline.

    How on Earth are they thinking that this suit is more like one your average teenage science nut would / could make?

    It looks like something designed by the Olympic bobsled committee.

    Love Andrew Garfield , LOVE Emma Stone. Did not particularly enjoy 500 Days of Summer and feel like Mark Webb just took the biggest check and will fall in line w/ whatever the Corporation tells him to do.

    “Make it ‘Dark Knight’.” “Make it ‘edgy’.” “Make it ‘sexy’.”

    In other words, remove the Amazing from ‘Spider Man’.
    Christopher Nolan didn’t call his film “The Amazing Knight”, or even “The Dark Knight Returns” for cross-marketing purposes.

    Thought I do remember a couple issues of Spectacular Spider Man that were significantly darker in tone, I’m still hoping that Andrew Garfield comes through with a little bit of fun-loving Spidey charm in the midst of this Cut-And-Paste wack-a-mole Reboot shlock.

    My only gripe with the suit is it still looks like a Hollywood suit. I saw a scene of him sewing it and my suspension of disbelief was shattered. I’ll certainly rent this film when it comes out on dvd so I can see The LIzard finally make it to the big screen.

    No idea why the heck people are giving the costume so much hate. Personally I think it looks ok. And those “shoes” of his have grown on me. I guess spidey needs a little grip when he’s running. Without those it’ll feel like running with just socks on. Not cool:P
