Just the other day a pretty great new teaser poster for director Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man was released. It was cool, interesting, and did much to distance this reboot from Sam Raimi’s trilogy of films. Well today three new international banners for the film hit the web, and they’re pretty much the antithesis of that teaser poster. They’re bright, flashy, and ugly. It’s important to note that these will be used to market the film to international audiences (which is taking a much different approach than the domestic marketing), so they don’t necessarily hint at the tone of Webb’s take on the superhero. However, from the footage I saw at Comic-Con, this reboot looks to be a bit more light-hearted and fun than Raimi’s films. It lingered more on the relationships between the characters, with a good deal of humor peppered throughout. Whether or not the whole film feels this way is unknown at the moment, but as the marketing campaign kicks up we should get a better idea of what’s in store. Hit the jump to check out the banners. The Amazing Spider-Man opens in 3D on July 3rd, 2012.Here are the banners (via CBM):the-amazing-spider-man-banner-image-1the-amazing-spider-man-banner-image-2the-amazing-spider-man-banner-image-3
