FX has always done a killer job marketing American Horror Story, but this new “Extra-Ordinary Artists” series might be my favorite yet. We shared the promo about Rose Siggins who portrays Legless Suzy and now we’ve got one for the actor playing Paul the Illustrated Seal, Mat Fraser, and it’s equally remarkable.
Like Suzy, Paul isn’t one of the most prominent characters on the show, but he’ll undoubtedly catch your eye the moment the new season kicks off on Wednesday, October 8th at 10pm, and not because he has a condition called Phocomelia, but rather because he’s got a charming and very commanding on-screen presence. ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ begins its tale in the quiet, sleepy hamlet of Jupiter, Florida. The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience.
