Have a fear of clowns?  Based on these new promos for American Horror Story: Freak Show, you’ll probably develop one as soon as the show returns.  The fourth season will take place in Jupiter, Florida in 1952, right when Elsa Mars (Jessica Lange) moves her freak show into the neighborhood.  The gang includes Kathy Bates’ bearded lady, Michael Chiklis’ strongman and Sarah Paulson’s conjoined twins, just to name a few.

We’ve also got John Carroll Lynch on board as the Freak Show villain, Twisty the clown killer.  Minus that shadow in the recently released character poster, we haven’t seen much of Twisty yet, but it looks as though one of the characters featured in this new set of American Horror Story: Freak Show teasers could be him.  Hit the jump to see for yourself.

Every single American Horror Story: Freak Show teaser released thus far is striking and unnerving enough to build some serious hype for the show’s October 8th return on FX, but “Twisted Smile” and “Open Wide” are on another level.  In fact, they’re so disturbing, they make “Sword Swallower” seem like nothing.

But let’s focus on the one titled “Twisted Smile.”  Take a look at the aforementioned character poster and check out what’s rumored to be Twisty’s shadow behind Chiklis and between Bates and Denis O’Hare.  Now watch the “Twisted Smile” promo.  The thing is called “Twisted smile” and there’s definitely a resemblance there.  If that really is Twisty in the video, that’s going to be one heck of a smile to look at all season long.
