The first trailer and poster for the haunted house documentary The American Scream have been released. The film comes from director Michael Paul Stephenson, who previously helmed the documentary Best Worst Movie which brilliantly looked at the cult following behind one of the worst films ever made, Troll 2. This time his subject is everyday Americans who go above and beyond every October to create their own haunted houses. It’s fascinating subject matter, and the trailer promises an intriguing look at people for whom creating haunted houses and scaring strangers is a genuine passion.
