Lionsgate has released the first American Ultra clip online. Written by Chronicle scribe Max Landis and directed by Nima Nourizadeh (Project X), the story finds a stoner/sleeper agent (Jesse Eisenberg) and his girlfriend’s (Kristen Stewart) life disrupted when a government operation descends upon their small town with the aim of wiping the stoner out. This clip has Eisenberg in babbling-mode, but I like the glimpse we get of the chemistry between the lead characters. That being said, this clip would probably be better if it were coupled with the actions that Eisenberg’s character is talking about. I guess they’re saving the neck-spooning for the film.
