We've been following along with the Disney Channel's new animated comedy series Amphibia for a little over a year now, and today we got our first really good look at it. As a bonus, the network has gone ahead and greenlit a second season before the first episode has even premiered, suggesting that something magical is in the making here. Amphibia, the brainchild of Annie Award-winner Matt Braly, who has worked on hit series like Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, and Big City Greens, will debut at 10 am on June 17th on Disney Channel and DisneyNow. The series invites viewers to join in on the adventures of independent and fearless teen Anne Boonchuy (Brenda Song) after she is magically transported to a rural marshland full of frog people and meets the excitable young frog Sprig Plantar and his family.

Amphibia will get to enjoy a second season at the very least as Disney Channel has renewed it ahead of its premiere this June. The first-look trailer also reveals the new series' characters, tone, and super-fun visuals. Following Amphibia's debut on Monday, June 17th, new episodes will air daily through Thursday, June 20th and the series will air daily throughout the summer.
