Foresight Unlimited and Castle Rock Entertainment have announced that production is underway in Connecticut on director Rob Reiner’s new film And So It Goes…  The pic stars Michael Douglas as a self-centered real estate agent whose life is turned upside down when his estranged son suddenly drops off a granddaughter he never knew.  Douglas’ character learns to care for the child with the help of his “determined and loveable” neighbor, played by Diane Keaton.  The story is about as predictable as can be and we can all see where this is heading, but the film has a script by As Good As It Gets scribe Mark Andrus and the prospect of Keaton and Douglas teaming up is promising.

In fact, And So It Goes… marks the first time that Douglas and Keaton have shared the screen together and is a reunion of sorts for Douglas and his American President director Reiner. The press release also notes that World War Z actress Sterling Jerins has joined the cast as the aforementioned granddaughter, and Frankie Valli and Frances Sternhagen also star.  Hit the jump to read the full press release.
