In the past several days, Edgar Wright has announced some key behind-the-camera players for his adaptation of Marvel’s Ant-Man. On his official blog, Edgar Wright Here, Wright showed off a picture of Bill Pope. Pope previously worked with Wright on Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and The World’s End. This won’t be Pope’s first go-round with a Marvel superhero. He previously shot Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3.
Also, shortly following Steven Price‘s BAFTA win this afternoon, Wright announced on Twitter that the Gravity composer would be providing the score. Price is another past collaborator with Wright as the two worked together on Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. So yes, the movie is stocking up on more talent. It’s set to star Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, and possibly Evangeline Lilly. Ant-Man opens July 17, 2015.
