Back in April the very first Ant-Man clip hit the web revealing how Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) finds the Ant-Man suit, but now it's time to catch a glimpse of what happens when he puts it on for the first time. Marvel just posted the first official clip from the film in which Lang makes the mistake of giving the suit a test run in a bathtub.

It's one thing to show off snippets of Ant-Man in action in a trailer, but it's another to see Lang shrink down to the size of an ant in the context of a lengthier scene. I've had some fun with the marketing campaign thus far, but this clip is the first promo to suggest that the film could sustain the zany adventure and sell Ant-Man as a very capable hero. Check out the first Ant-Man clip for yourself below. The film is due in theaters on July 17th and also stars Michael DouglasEvangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Michael Pena, Judy GreerTip “T.I.” Harris and Bobby Cannavale.

Here’s the official Ant-Man synopsis:

The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time with Marvel Studios’ “Ant-Man.” Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.

Marvel’s “Ant-Man” stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang aka Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, Corey Stoll as Darren Cross aka Yellowjacket, Bobby Cannavale as Paxton, Michael Peña as Luis, Judy Greer as Maggie, Tip “Ti” Harris as Dave, David Dastmalchian as Kurt, Wood Harris as Gale, Jordi Mollà as Castillo and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym.
