Much like post-credit sequences and crossover cameos, Easter Eggs have essentially become de rigueur for Marvel films. And why not? They're fun for fans, unobtrusive enough not to bother the casual moviegoer, and only serve to bolster Marvel's shared-universe storytelling approach.

With Ant-Man arriving in theaters this week, Steve recently sat down for a one-on-one chat with director Peyton Reed, and got the details on where you should be keeping an eye out if you're in the mood for an Easter Egg hunt. Check out the video below.

The first place you'll want to keep a weather eye on is Hank Pym's homestead,

I think anytime you’re in Hank Pym’s beautiful, Victorian house in San Francisco, you want to look around the room. You might notice certain details that sort of talk abut his history and his experimentation with the Pym particle. There might some miniaturized objects all around the room.

Next up, you'll want to peruse the newspapers featured occasionally in the film, particularly in the side margins,

When newspapers appear on screen, there are a couple newspapers that appear. There’s a main thing when I do an insert of a newspaper that you want to look at for a story. There also might be some other things in the margins of that newspaper that are interesting.

Finally, keep your eyes peeled in the third act of the film when Scott Lang travels to a place that is previously unexplored in film (You'll know it when you see it), but you'll have to be watching pretty vigilantly,

There’s an event that happens to Scott Lang in the third act of the movie. He goes into a place that’s been unseen in any motion picture ever before, and when he goes into that place - I don’t think Scott Lang sees it, but if you’re sharp, if you’re a keen, sharp audience member you might see something or someone in that environment.
