Marvel has released a new Ant-Man trailer.  The upcoming film starts Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, a thief who works with brilliant inventor Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) to pull off a heist that will save the world.

This trailer goes more in depth with the plot and especially Ant-Man’s powers, and it all looks fine. There’s just nothing particularly mind-blowing about this trailer until the very end when the humor, the style, and the premise come together to create something uniquely entertaining. I wish I was more excited for this movie based on this footage, but there’s not much here that really gets me geared up other than the cast. Also, I wish they would stop running from the name “Ant-Man”. It doesn’t sound any sillier than “Captain America” or “Spider-Man”. It’s just that we’re not used to it yet.

Check out the Ant-Man trailer below. The film opens July 17th, and also stars July 17th, and also stars Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Abby Ryder Fortson, David Dastmalchian, Wood Harris, Judy Greer, Gregg Turkington, T.I., and John Slattery.
