What this movie needs are actual fights and action scenes. The first Captain America was just a series of montages. No dramatic impact or a flow of A to B to the action.
Avengers was the first real Captain American movie in my opinion because it actually showed him fighting people as he did in the comics.

Agree. Captain America: TFA sucked. The only movie that possibly sucked as much or more was Iron Man 3.

Agreed. I thought I was the only one that felt that way haha. No Nazis, Bucky is his pimp friend, The United Nations sidekick posse….just atrocious. And as for Iron Man 3 I can’t believe Shane Black churned out that piece of shit((((SPOILER ALERT))))Gwyneth Paltrow saves the day? Come the fuck on.

        Misogynist.

      • Faptain America

What’s misogynist about saying that two movies were bad?

and I gotta add, these guys directing Captain America 2 are not making me feel optimistic….

I am excited as hell about The Winter Soldier, but I must say- these guys are just about the least interesting people on the planet.

It would’ve been an utter travesty if the first Captain America movie didn’t pay homage to his WWII Jack Kirby & Joe Simon roots. That being said, the First Avenger did some phenomenal heavy lifting IMO, covering some 20 years of Classic Cap comics, while updating them & bringing him up to speed in the present.

Personally, I’ll miss the whole Benjamin Button approach to his early days, but that has no place in the present so – I’m full speed ahead for some Super Patriot political espionage action!

They seem to’ve nailed both Falcon and Winter Soldier’s looks. I think Anthony Mackie’ll be an interesting addition to the Marvel U. It’ll be like one big Hurt Locker reunion if he ever shares the screen w/ Hawkeye. hahaha
