Limited Paper Giveaway: Win One of Gallery 1988 and Anthony Petrie’s G.I. JOE: RETALIATION Posters

     March 27, 2013

Paramount has partnered with Gallery 1988 and artist Anthony Petrie for a very special poster to commemorate tomorrows release of Jon M. Chu’s G. I. Joe: Retaliation, and we’ve got four of the 100 copies to giveaway to some of our readers. If you’d like more info on the poster and how to win one… meet me after the jump.

In the past, the process of entering Limited Paper’s giveaways and contests has run the gamut from “super-easy” to “mildly difficult” to “You mean I have to do something to win this thing?”  We still plan on making some of our future contests a little harder to win than others—if nothing else, it keeps things interesting on our end—but today we’re offering up a giveaway that almost literally couldn’t be any easier.  Before we get into the “How”, let’s look at the “What”:

  • G.I. Joe: Retaliation by Anthony Petrie
  • Digital Print
  • Limited edition of only 100 copies
  • 4 copies available via giveaway through Limited Paper/

If you’re wondering:  no, this isn’t a screenprint…but as it turns out, it’s also not a lithograph (which is what Limited Paper HQ thought upon seeing it).  When reached for comment about the piece, Petrie explained that it’s actually a digital print,   and if you’re interested in knowing more about how the piece was created you can head on over to Gallery88’s website here.  It’s definitely a unique concept, and the fact that it’s so incredibly limited will probably make copies of the print even more attractive to collectors.

So, how do you win?  Send an email to thecollidermailbox @  Include the phrase “ALL HAIL COBRA” in your subject line and include your name, physical address, and the name of your favorite G.I. Joe character (difficulty: you can’t say Snake Eyes).   We’ll give everyone until Monday afternoon at 12pm, PST to get their entries in, at which time we’ll select the winners, and then drop ‘em a line at their provided email address to explain what comes next.  Sound good?  Good.  Now get entering.

UPDATE: Steve here. Just to let everyone know, I’ll be picking up the posters at Paramount next week and shipping them in thick tubes, so they should arrive in great condition.

By the way, just as a reminder:  G.I. Joe: Retaliation opens this Friday.  Here’s the trailer if ya missed it at any point:

Want more G.I. Joe action?  Head on over to Cobra Commander’s page, and then:  stay tuned for more as it becomes available, folks.  In the meantime:  as is always the case around here: if you’re an artist or gallery with artwork you’d like to see featured on Limited Paper (or if you’re just some lucky bastard who happened to overhear a bit of poster-related gossip while standing in the bushes outside Martin Ansin’s house) we wanna hear from you!  Email Limited Paper directly at, and be sure that you’re following us on Twitter via @LimitedPaper for ongoing commentary, news updates, giveaways, and more!
