If that's not enough to pique your interest in Army of One, then perhaps you need to reassess your priorities. Watching the film's first trailer will help give you a sense of Charles' bizarre comedy style, of which Cage is a perfectly suited performer. Our exclusive debut of the first clip from the film proves that beyond a shadow of a doubt.[caption id="attachment_596683" align="alignright" width="350"]army-of-one-nicolas-cage Image via Dimension[/caption]In this exclusive first clip, Russell Brand plays “God” in an attempt to convince Cage's character Gary to capture Osama Bin Laden, as you do. It's a great look into Gary's psyche, a peek behind the curtains of his addled and susceptible mind. This is not Cage trying to play an action hero or comic book character, this is Cage showing off his most earnest weirdness, something we haven't seen since his 2002 turn in Adaptation. We'll soon find out just where Cage's turn as the Don Quixote-esque Gary Faulkner lands among the veteran actor's long list of performances, but this looks like a quirky cult classic in the making to me.Also starring Wendi McLendon-Covey, Paul Scheer and Rainn Wilson, look for Army of God in limited theatrical release and on Digital starting November 4th, and on VOD, DVD and Blu-Ray on November 15th.Check out our exclusive clip from Army of One above and then watch the trailer here. Here's the official synopsis:

Gary Faulkner (Cage) is an ex-con, unemployed handyman, and modern day Don Quixote who receives a vision from God (Brand) telling him to capture Osama Bin Laden. Armed with only a single sword purchased from a home-shopping network, Gary travels to Pakistan to complete his mission. While on his quest, Gary encounters old friends back home in Colorado, the new friends he makes in Pakistan, the enemies he makes at the CIA - and even God and Osama themselves. Wendi McLendon-Covey, Rainn Wilson, and Paul Scheer also star in this hilarious tale of patriotism and one man’s quest for justice.
