A couple weeks ago, we reported that filming on the fourth season of Arrested Development would begin in four weeks.  For those who are too excited to do math, that means filming is two weeks away.  Today, producer and narrator Ron Howard tweeted an image of the cover page for the first script, and the title reads, “Arrested Development: Michael”.  We previously reported that the new season, which will be ten episodes long, lead into an Arrested Development feature film, and each episode would focus on an individual character.  However, in April, creator and showrunner Mitch Hurwitz said the new season “is now kind of evolving into becoming more like the old show again.”  Now it looks like the pendulum may have swung back the other way.

Hit the jump for more.  The entire cast will return for the new season of Arrested Development, which will air all at once on Netflix next year.  There is currently no release date for the feature film.

It should be noted that just because the episode is entitled “Michael”, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the show will be radically different than what we’ve seen from the first three seasons.  Fans will note that Michael (Jason Bateman) truly was the lead character in the first several episodes before the series morphed into more of an ensemble piece.  However, the show, like most other TV series, had an A-plot and a B-plot (and sometimes a C-plot, which may or may not have involved The Seward), so “Michael” could simply be the A-plot.

Also, a title could just be a title.  Just because this script it called “Arrested Development: Michael”, it doesn’t mean that the second episode will be called “Arrested Development: Buster” or some other character.

Finally, here’s the image Howard tweeted:

Won’t it just be insane if the show has an episode that focuses the man who is clearly the main character of the show? THAT’D BE WILD!

Really, this article would’ve worked with the picture and a word, “rumor”. Instead, it continued on to feature the misspelled “Seaward”.

Maybe you two should get together and be, beige…? Yeah, that would be easier; beige goes with everything.
