The trailer for Jason Winer’s (Modern Family) remake of Arthur has gone online.  The film centers on a drunken playboy (Russell Brand) who risks losing his inheritance when he falls in love with a woman (Greta Gerwig) his parents don’t like.  The movie looks like it could be fun and I hope someone makes an animated gif of Helen Mirren punching Brand in the face.  While the trailer relies too heavily on familiar tunes ("Rebel Rebel",  "All Right Now", and "Under Pressure"), that's a trailer problem, not something that reflects negatively on the movie.  The jokes they feature got a laugh out of me and I hope they're not just showing the best of the bunch.Hit the jump to check out the trailer.  Arthur also stars Jennifer Garner, Nick Nolte, and Luis Guzman.  It opens April 8th.  Click here to check out Steve's interview with Brand where he talks about the film.Click over to Yahoo! Here's the official synopsis for Arthur:

Irresponsible charmer Arthur Bach has always relied on two things to get by: his limitless fortune and the good sense of lifelong nanny Hobson to keep him out of trouble. Now he faces his biggest challenge -- choosing between an arranged marriage that will ensure his lavish lifestyle or an uncertain future with the one thing money can't buy, Naomi, the only woman he has ever loved. With Naomi's inspiration and some unconventional help from Hobson, Arthur will take the most expensive risk of his life and finally learn what it means to become a man.
