Dana DeLorenzo and Ray Santiago aren’t new to the industry by any means, but come October 31st, they’re going to take a major step towards becoming household names because they are both fantastic in the new Starz series, Ash vs. Evil Dead. Santiago steps in as Pablo, Ash’s (Bruce Campbell) lovable, idealistic co-worker at the Value Stop and DeLorenzo plays Kelly, Pablo’s neighbor who doesn’t have the patience for Ash’s antics. When Ash inadvertently unleashes the evil of the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis, he’s ready to skip town and make a run for it, but Pablo convinces him to stay, grab his chainsaw and stop the deadites again.

After catching the Ash vs. Evil Dead pilot premiere at New York Comic-Con, I got the opportunity to sit down with some of the cast to talk about the show. While prepping for the interviews, I did a little Googling and quickly discovered that DeLorenzo does some killer impressions. During the interview, she and Santiago were kind enough to indulge me and share their impressions of Campbell and director Sam Raimi. You can check them out in the video below and be sure keep an eye out for loads more from DeLorenzo, Santiago, Campbell, Lucy Lawless and Jill Marie Jones a bit closer to the show’s October 31st debut on Starz. And, in case you missed it, check out my pilot review right here. (Spoiler: It’s everything an Evil Dead fan could hope for.)

Here’s the official synopsis of Ash vs. Evil Dead:

“Ash vs Evil Dead” is the long-awaited follow-up to the classic horror film franchise The Evil Dead and is set to premiere on STARZ October 31 at 9 PM. The 10-episode first season of the half-hour series is executive produced by Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, Bruce Campbell, the original filmmakers, and Craig DiGregorio who serves as executive producer and showrunner.

Campbell will be reprising his role as Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead.
