Tonight’s batch of set photos is connected by a That 70s Show theme.  Not only are Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher featured, but both are again styled in the fashion of the 70s for their respective period piece:

  • Kutcher is playing Steve Jobs in the biopic Jobs: Get Inspired, which covers the Apple founder’s life from 1971-2000.
  • Kunis stars alongside Clive Owen, Billy Crudup, Marion Cotillard, and Zoe Saldana in Blood Ties, which centers two brothers involved in organized crime in 1970s Brooklyn

Hit the jump for the set photos and details on each project. [Update: We've removed the unofficial images.]

Jobs: Get Inspired

Josh Gad stars opposite Kutcher as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.  So, you know, not the least annoying cast in the world.  TMZ says this is Kutcher in full costume on the way to the set of Jobs.   The script by Matt Whiteley chronicles Jobs’ trajectory “from a wayward hippie to co-founder of Apple.”  Joshua Michael Stern (Swing Vote) is directing.

Kutcher definitely has the look—now let’s see if he can pull of the performance.  Here’s what producer Mark Hulme said about casting his lead:

“Since our film covers the early years of Apple, when Jobs was in his 20′s, we needed an actor who could carry not only the youthfulness of Jobs at the time but also the psychological complexity. Because of that, and Ashton’s physical similarities to Jobs, he’s perfect for our film… When Ashton read the script he was immediately attracted to the project. He is a Steve Jobs and Apple fan, and is technologically savvy, as well, so he recognized the historical importance of Steve Jobs and the potential of the project. He is very excited to have the role.”

Blood Ties

Blood Ties is the English-language debut of director Guillaume Canet (Tell No One).  The story, based on the French novel Les liens du sang, centers on “a younger brother (Crudup) who has to ask his convict older brother (Owen) to go back into the underworld to help out the family.”  Kunis plays Owen’s love interest in the movie, and the ring box in the first image suggests they get engaged.  Check out Celebuzz for a few more photos.

Won’t play someone who had talent, require some talent? This movie will be hilarious. It’s a spoof, right?

  • Spock Jenkins

E.R.’s Noah Wyle was ( is ) more fitting.

  • Phil Beta

Hell, no. Ashton looks nothing like Steve Jobs. So trying to make a poor portrait of a complex psych genius.

I know what you’re trying to do here Sony, and I won’t forgive you.

Jobs: Get Inspired is a rough title also. this movie will be so bad, it’s bad

  • Singularity

    Ugh.

Zuckerberg gets a real movie and Jobs gets… Kelso.

    • JennyL

Sony is making its own Job biopic. This is just some small indie film that hired Kutcher for publicity.

  • Carlos

Wow! Ashton Kutcher really looks like… Ashton Kutcher

  • AngryNorwegian

The cast in pirates of silicon valley was much better than this..

And josh gad is portaying a man that was thin during the 70 and 80s? So i gues they arent showing wozniak until the end of the movie.. Or they just dont care..

  • STEVEN

IT FEELs more like Ashton Kutcher cosplaying as Jobs instead of a meaningful re-interpretation. Kinda like someone thought they can just dump the turtle neck, 90s bad jean and sports shoes onto Kutcher and add some hair and wala!

judge it when you see it, this could turn out to be a great movie

Jobs: Get Inspired doesn’t have the most annoying cast??
Haven’t you ever seen Punked or That 70′s Show, Kutcher is thee most annoying, nails scraping on chalk board, no talent person on the planet….and what a crappy title.
Not quite sure why this direct to bargen bin movie is getting any coverage at all.
