Ashton Kutcher to Join TWO AND A HALF MEN

     May 12, 2011

It looks like the casting circus surrounding Two and a Half Men is finally over. Sources have confirmed to THR that Ashton Kutcher is putting the final touches on a deal to join the cast of the sitcom, filling the void left by Charlie Sheen after he decided acting sane was too much to ask of him for over $1 million per episode. The deal comes in the wake of Hugh Grant nearly joining the cast, only to pull out at the last minute over concerns about doing 20+ episodes of a TV series every year. No word on how Kutcher will be incorporated into the show, but one source lied that the storyline is “really funny.” I’m just baffled as to how this show is still a thing.

It is the No 1 sitcom. They are not giving up that meal ticket without a fight.

Im happy for the people behind the scenes.

“but one source lied that the storyline is ‘really funny’.”

I hope that they finally cancel this series. I am bored of it. Charlie Sheen had such a promising career and I am so disappointed to see the direction that his life and career has gone. He has done some great movies in his time such as Wall Street (1987), The Three Musketeers (1993), The Arrival (1996), Shadow Conspiracy (1997), Postmortem (1998), etc. I always wanted him to just do mainstream movies, particularly serious films and dramas, try to reach his full potential as an actor, join the A-list and try to win an Oscar. But now I have just given up on him. He hasn’t surpassed his father, Martin Sheen who still gets better roles and does bigger movies and he has become the laughing stock of Hollywood.

    No interest at all.

Two and A Half Men ended. They’re just kicking up bones now.

The show is funny all due to the writers, Cryer, Manheim and Angus. Sheen was just the pretty face (??).

My dad came up with the perfect storyline: Charlie writes his will on a cocktail napkin and gives it some random guy (Ashton Kutcher) in a bar, leaving him everything he owns, and Charlie is never heard from/dies. This is explained when Ashton’s character simply shows up at Charlie’s house, claiming he now owns it!

This show is just terrible and totally unfunny all around. I seriously don’t know how it’s the #1 sitcom right now….might have something to do w/ the fact that there really isn’t any good sitcoms on tv…or that maybe old people have nothing to watch since Raymond went off the air.
