Los Angeles: Who Wants to See ATTACK THE BLOCK For Free Next Week!

At this year’s SXSW, one film walked away with tremendous buzz: Joe Cornish’s Attack the Block. The film (which was co-produced by Cornish’s writing partner, Edgar Wright) has been called the “best film of SXSW 2011″ since its very first screening.  It went on to win the Audience Award.  For those unfamiliar with the flick, it’s about a group of street tough kids who fight off alien invaders.  You can watch a trailer here and here’s Scott’s review.

It was recently announced that Screen Gems has picked up the film for domestic distribution.  While this is great news, there is one negative: no release date has been announced so it’s unknown when everyone will get to see it.  However, if you live in Los Angeles, you don’t have to worry about the release date as there will be a free fan appreciation screening on Tuesday the 26th! If you remember, a few weeks ago I gave away tickets to a Los Angeles screening of Attack the Block with Jeremy from AICN, Drew from Hitfix, and Devin from BadassDigest.  This was before the film sold to Screen Gems and everyone told me the film played huge.  Since I was out of town, I couldn’t attend.  But I will be at the screening next week!

So back by popular demand, Sony/Screen Gems wants to give the fans another post-SXSW chance to see the Audience Award winner.  Unlike last time, the burden to get in falls on you because I don’t have any tickets to  give out.  Here are the details:
