Following on from the US trailer and poster out earlier this month, Focus Features have now released a new, longer international trailer for their stop-motion zombie horror, ParaNorman. When a small town is besieged by zombies, responsibility falls upon Norman, a local boy with the unique ability to speak to the dead, to save everyone from a centuries-old curse.

ParaNorman is Coraline writer Chris Butler's directorial debut, although Sam Fell (The Tale of Despereaux) is also co-directing. The film features the voices of Kodi Smit-McPhee, Casey Affleck, Anna Kendrick, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Leslie Mann, Jeff Garlin, John Goodman, and Alex Borstein. The movie opens in 3D on August 17th. Hit the jump for the trailer.

As animated flicks have become more common and audiences have perhaps started to take for granted the phenomenal levels of detail and technical wizardy involved, it's rare that a film can really jump out from the crowd on just the basis of it's trailer. There are some great gags thrown in to these two and a half minutes, and I've no doubt there'll be movie references galore in the finished film. Definitely one to watch for. Read the synopsis for the film below.
The new 3D stop-motion comedy thriller from animation company LAIKA, reteaming the company with Focus Features after the groundbreaking Academy Award-nominated “Coraline.” “ParaNorman” is, following “Coraline,” the company’s second stop-motion animated feature to be made in 3D. In “ParaNorman,” a small town comes under siege by zombies. Who ...

George Clooney has kicked off work on a new project, a big-budget affair set in Europe during World War II. Clooney will be writing, directing and starring in the movie, entitled Monuments Men, which will follow a group of art experts selected by the US Government to locate and retrieve artwork stolen by the Nazis. The film will be based on the Robert M. Edsel book "The Monuments Men: Allied Heroes, Nazi Thieves, and the Greatest Treasure Hunt in History". Hit the jump for Clooney's comments, as well as the full synopsis of the book.

Usually Clooney works within a relatively small budget, with his most expensive film to date, Leatherheads in 2008, still costing only $58 million. This time around, Clooney has his sights set bigger. Speaking at Palm Springs Film Festival on Saturday (per The Wrap), Clooney said, “I’m excited about it. It’s a fun move because it could be big entertainment. It’s a big budget, you can’t do it small -- it’s landing in Normandy.”

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Clooney will be teaming with his long time writing partner Grant Heslov (Good Night and Good Luck). Their most recent collaboration, The Ides of March, was generally well received by audiences and critics alike and has a wealth of awards nominations under its belt including for the 2012 Producers Guild Awards.

Clooney acknowledged Monuments Men is intended as a commercial venture for Sony Pictures, saying,
"I'm not opposed to doing a commercial film. I’m just opposed to doing a commercial film that doesn’t feel ...

Sam Rockwell is in negotiations with Occupant Films to star in the black comedy/thriller Better Living Through Chemistry. Jeremy Renner, who was previously slated for the role, has jumped ship to maintain a slightly more manageable schedule (he is currently on board Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, The Avengers, and The Bourne Legacy, just to name a few). Starring opposite Jennifer Garner and Michelle Monaghan, Variety reports that Rockwell will play a small town pharmacist whose unhappy marriage (to Monaghan) leaves him vulnerable to the alluring wiles of a sexy trophy wife (Garner) and the highs of prescription drugs. Chaos breaks loose when their affair escalates and the unfaithful couple hatches a plot to murder her husband. The film will be a debut feature from writer-directors Geoff Moore and David Posamentier. Judi Dench is on board to narrate the pic. Hit the jump for more on Rockwell and Better Living Through Chemistry.
In some ways it's a pity that Jeremy Renner had to drop Better Living Through Chemistry - an actor that talented is a boon to any production lucky enough to have him. That said, I won't deny that, as an unashamed fanboy of Sam Rockwell, I'm excited about this new casting. Rockwell has proven time and time again that there's no role that won't succumb to his skills. Following on from his recent turns as smooth operator Justin Hammer in Iron Man 2 and innocent inmate Kenny Waters in Conviction, Rockwell has been shooting Cowboys & Aliens back alongside ...

Chris Nolan and Jon Favreau add their voices to April's open letter appeal by The National Association of Theater Owners protesting to DirecTV's new Premium VOD service, Home Premiere. Home Premiere is a video-on-demand service backed by four major studios, Fox, Universal, Warner Bros., and Sony, which provides audiences with the opportunity to rent a new film two months after release, for the price of $29.95. According to THR, the Batman Begins and Iron Man directors are two of the latest signatories to oppose the service among a group of high profile talent including Quentin Tarantino, M. Night Shyamalan and David Dobkin, plus screenwriter Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker) and former president of Warner Home Video, Jim Cardwell.

Hit the jump for more on this controversy.

Home Premiere has already sparked considerable displeasure among cinema owners and directors alike, who claim that shortening the window between theatrical release and film rental/ VOD services from four months to two will detract from the "cinematic experience", and who argue that their films were crafted to be shown on "the big screen". With todays news, the full list of directors and producers opposed to the service grows ever longer. Currently signatories already include James Cameron, Michael Bay, Kathryn Bigelow, Guillermo del Toro, Peter Jackson, Michael Mann, and Gore Verbinski to mention just a few.

In addition to the letter of appeal, some cinemas reacted to the service by threatening to exclude or limit trailers and posters to films from Fox, Universal, Warner Bros. and Sony. THR ...

The first trailer has landed for Happy Feet 2, the sequel to 2007's best animated feature Oscar winner, and it has to be said, it is pretty grin inducing. As to be expected, it features a host of cute and cuddly penguins bopping about and tapping their (happy) feet, and in this case rapping to Justin Timberlake's "Sexy Back", albeit cunningly reworded "Fluffy Back" - think of the children! Happy Feet 2 carries some heavy weight vocal talent, including Elijah Wood, Robin Williams, Hank Azaria, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Sofia Vergara among a ton of others, and Mad Max's George Miller is returning to direct. It opens November 18, 2011 in the US, followed by a later release of December 2, 2011 in the UK. Hit the jump for the trailer and official synopsis.

Here's the synopsis:
The sequel to the Academy Award®-winning animated smash hit, “Happy Feet 2″ returns audiences to the magnificent landscape of Antarctica, reuniting us with the world’s most famous tap-dancing penguin, Mumble (Elijah Wood), the love of his life, Gloria (Alecia Moore {Pink}) and their old friends Ramon and Lovelace (Robin Williams). Mumble and Gloria now have a son of their own, Erik (EG Daily), who is struggling to find his own particular talents in the Emperor Penguin world. But new dangers are threatening the penguin nation, and it’s going to take everyone working–and dancing–together to save them.
Oh, and if you still haven't seen the first one, here's our review to help you decide if it's ...

The film adaptation of Steve Harvey's best-selling book Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man has new names attached to star alongside Kevin Hart. According to Deadline, Jerry Ferrara, Romany Malco, Gary Owen, and Gabrielle Union are all now signed to the comedy project which sees Hart as a "relationship expert" who dishes out advice on love whilst struggling with his own failing marriage. (Move over Agony Aunts, Uncles are stepping up.) Unlike the long winded book title, the film is named simply, Think Like A Man and, as we reported last month, will be helmed by Fantastic Four director Tim Story and produced by Will Packer (Takers). Friends with Benefits writers Keith Merryman & David A. Newman have penned the script. Hit the jump for the synopsis of the book.

Here's the book synopsis from Amazon - God only knows how closely the script will resemble the book, presumably pretty loosely since there's not much of a plot outlined.
As a popular comedian, radio host and red-blooded male, Harvey doesn’t have the bona fides typical to most women’s relationship self-help, but he still manages a thorough, witty guide to the modern man. Harvey undertakes the task because “Women are clueless about men,” because “Men get away with a whole lot of stuff” and because he has “some valuable information to change all of that.” Harvey makes a game effort, taking a bold but familiar men-are-dogs approach: if you’re “cutting back” on sex, “he will have another woman lined up and ...

Continuing their epic poster campaign for their forthcoming animation Cars 2, Disney have released a monster triptych image detailing scenes across Tokyo, London and Italy. The artwork was created by a team of 20-25 people, captures 415 posed characters and took a total of five months to create - some might say overkill, although it is pretty captivating!

Directed by John Lasseter, Cars 2 features the voice talent of Owen Wilson, Larry the Cable Guy, Emily Mortimer, Jason Isaacs, Bruce Campbell, John Turturro, Thomas Kretschmann, and Michael Caine. It opens in 3D June 24th.

Here's the official synopsis for Cars 2:
Star racecar Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) and the incomparable tow truck Mater (voice of Larry the Cable Guy) take their friendship to exciting new places in "Cars 2" when they head overseas to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix to determine the world's fastest car. But the road to the championship is filled with plenty of potholes, detours and hilarious surprises when Mater gets caught up in an intriguing adventure of his own: international espionage. Torn between assisting Lightning McQueen in the high-profile race and towing the line in a top-secret spy mission, Mater's action-packed journey leads him on an explosive chase through the streets of Japan and Europe, trailed by his friends and watched by the whole world. Adding to the fast-paced fun is a colorful new all-car cast that includes secret agents, ...

Exciting news for fans of sci-fi horror Cube, Lionsgate are currently fielding pitches for a Cube 3D. STYD reports that there is no word yet on whether the 3D movie would be a sequel or a remake of the 1997 original, but surely whatever they come up with can't be much more disappointing than Cube 2 or Cube Zero, both unworthy follow ups. Cube offered up a simple premise: seven strangers awake in inside a colossal cube and attempt to navigate their way through a maze of lethally booby trapped rooms to escape the geometric prison.

Hit the jump for more.

The original Cube was a cult hit, launching director Vincenzo Natali in to the sights of sci-fi horror fans the world over and thank God, or we'd never have seen Splice. It was a great movie, although it stubbornly gave no clues as to why the cube existed or why they were in it, which in a way, gives Cube 3D quite a lot of contextual freedom to work with.

I might be barking up the wrong tree hedging a bet this early, but I'm guessing the synopsis of the 3D film will involve a group of unfathomably annoying people waking up in a cube shaped room surrounded by hundreds of other cube shaped rooms all rigged with obscure and brutal traps. I'd even go so far as to say this could be a sort of splice between Cube and Saw 3D (see what I did there?) What would be cool is ...

Actress Juliette Lewis (Conviction) has gained a few more co-starring roles in indie titles Hick and A Single Shot according to Variety. We've mentioned Hick before, an adaptation of Andrea Portes' debut novel of the same name, telling the story of a 13 year old Nebraska girl who gets more than she bargained for when she runs away to Las Vegas. Portes herself wrote the screenplay and Derick Martini (Lymelife) will be directing. The pic will also star Chloe Moretz, Eddie Redmayne and Blake Lively, although IMDb suggests that Kirsten Dunst is no longer attached as we previously reported.

A Single Shot is described as a cat and mouse thriller between a deer-hunter and some hardened criminals out for his blood. Lewis will star alongside Alessandro Nivola and William H. Macy, Juno Temple and Emily Mortimer. Hit the jump for full synopses.

Hick synopsis via Amazon:
Portes’s chilling debut tracks a 13-year-old Nebraska girl’s hard-going life on the road. Young Luli knows losers—her “aging Brigitte Bardot” mother, Tammy, and her father, Nick, go at each other every night at the Alibi, the watering hole in hometown Palmyra, Neb. Tammy runs away one morning, and Nick soon follows, leaving Luli alone at home with the Smith and Wesson .45 her Uncle Nipper gave her. Pistol in tow, she hitches rides heading west to Vegas.

A crooked man (literally; he “looks like an italic,” says smart-alecky Luli) named Eddie picks her up briefly before throwing her out of the car. Next comes cocaine-snorting grifter Glenda, who ...

Barely days after closing a publishing deal with Little Brown, the screen rights to Matthew Quirk's first novel The Five Hundred have been purchased by 20th Century Fox. According to Deadline, the movie deal was worth "low-to-mid six figures against low seven figures". It has been likened to John Grisham's The Firm, but against a backdrop of political intrigue.

Prior to this two book deal, Quirk was a journalist at The Atlantic, reporting on crime, terrorism and drugs. The Five Hundred will be the first novel in what is currently a two book deal with Little Brown. No doubt both Little Brown and 20th Century Fox are hoping that this could be the birth of a franchise. Hit the jump for the synopsis.

Here's a synopsis of Matthew Quirk's The Five Hundred:
The Five Hundred details the livelihood of Mike Ford, a young Harvard Law student who graduates and is recruited by a powerful PR/ consulting firm in DC. The firms founder, a man with connections to the 500 hundred most powerful people in politics, becomes his mentor, but it isn't long before Ford begins to suspect that he may have sold his soul to the proverbial devil.
As well as the initial comparisons to The Firm, after reading the synopsis I was also reminded a little of The Devil's Advocate (minus the crazy surrealism), but then Hollywood loves nothing better than rehashing stories we've heard time and again. And who knows? Maybe this will be an interesting new take. Either way, it's a ...

It was reported back in March last year that Matthew Greenberg, who adapted another of Stephen King's stories, 1408, would be resurrecting Pet Sematary, and it seems that script is now due to be turned in. Or so says The LA Times whose source is apparently briefed on the project, albeit unauthorised to comment publicly. While Paramount have also declined to comment, executives at the studio are putting out feelers for a "high level" director to tackle the tale of the undead, scalpel wielding toddler.

Mary Lambert's 1989 original film adaptation starred Dale Midkiff, Denise Crosby, Fred Gwynne and Miko Hughes and told the story of the young Creed family who move to a new house next to a high speed road. When their son Gage is killed on the road, the distraught father buries him in a nearby sacred burial ground that reanimates the dead. Hit the jump for more.

As a rule, like most of the film community, I'm not a fan of remakes, and especially not of remakes of films that frankly were brilliantly terrifying in the first place. As the saying goes, 'if it ain't broken, don't fix it'. Pet Sematary might be old and dated, but it definitely ain't broken, as a fresh viewing of the film recently reminded me - it still packs a serious scare! (Perhaps largely down to Miko Hughes performance as the resurrected psycho kid).

However, it was Matthew Greenberg that penned 1408 starring John Cusack, which transpired to be one of the more ...

Actor, writer and director Kevin Smith has lashed out at Bruce Willis on Marc Maron's podcast, claiming that working with the action icon during shooting for his recent film Cop Out was "soul crushing". It's not new gossip, although officially denied, there were reports at the time that not all was hunky dory on set. Now that the hype surrounding the movie has cleared, Kevin Smith has more or less explicitly stated that there were problems, and those problems were caused by Bruce Willis. During his conversation with Maron about the movie, Smith referred to marketing issues when "one guy wouldn't even sit for a f*cking poster shoot". Prompted for a name by Maron, Smith said:
"Everyone knows who it is. Put it this way, remember the really funny guy in the movie? It ain’t him. He’s a f*cking dream. Tracy Morgan, I would lay down in traffic for. Were it not for Tracy, I might’ve killed myself or someone else in the making of that movie."
It could be a clash of egos, because there's no denying that both of these men have massive egos, but if we're to believe Smith's reports, Willis was no barrel of laughs on set. Hit the jump for the low down.

Before going any further, thanks to FilmDrunk and /Film for bits in this story.

Apparently, when shooting on Cop Out came to a close, Willis wasn't in attendance for the wrap party, and Smith toasted the movie saying:

To follow up the new trailer that we posted yesterday, here's a new Paul featurette with some fresh footage of the Alien comedy and a couple of golden quotes from stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. This is the latest in our extensive coverage of the movie, so make sure you're up to date with the poster, set report, and our interviews with Pegg and Frost. The film sees the pair as sci-fi geeks road tripping via Comic-Con to UFO sites and Area 51 when they close encounter an actual alien, Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen), and suddenly find themselves on a mission to return him to his mother ship. Paul is due for release stateside on 18th March 2011 and will be in UK cinemas exactly one month earlier. Alongside Pegg and Frost, it stars Jason Bateman, Kristen Wiig, Sigourney Weaver, Bill Hader, and Joe Lo Truglio. Hit the jump for the featurette and more.

The clip is well worth watching for a variety of reasons, including a few seconds of unseen footage, plus it's only a couple of minutes long, so unless you're in an extreme rush, watch it. On the off chance you are, here's a summary:

They summarize the plot, and reference Paul's existence on Earth for 60 years.
Frost details his character Clive, a science fiction writer.
Pegg talks briefly about his character Graeme, describing him as "very sweet, he's an innocent."
They laugh about being English in America and how they are perceived. "It's good being foreign in America…Some ...

With 2010 coming to a close, and the imminent arrival of an entirely fresh, unexplored, and unpredictable decade of cinema, what better time to start bombarding you with top ten lists of past highlights? We’ve done top ten posters, top ten trailers and top ten Christmas movies (and an alternate Christmas list for those who disagreed with the first).

This time: scores and soundtracks. There is a distinction between the two, but it’s murky, and as more and more films are using a mix of both original scores and pre-existing tracks, who are we to try to keep them separate? Hit the jump for more.

Normally we'd review the highs and lows of the year, but this isn't just the end of a year. This is the end of a decade, an era. That means it's time to peruse the plethora of phenomenal films released over the past ten years, reexamine the music that defined them, and pick ten that make the cut. That's not an easy task. I could write about fifty brilliant soundtracks and still leave numerous brilliant composers and scores unmentioned, and naturally, juggling with such subjectivity means that the ten I choose may very well not be the ten you would. That's what the comment section is for. One of the enjoyable aspects of this type of feature is the heated discussion it provokes. Do you agree or disagree? Truthfully, we want to know, and your comments can extend the list and offer an even more informative and ...

Writer-director Cameron Crowe (Almost Famous) excited Matt Damon when he gave him the script to his new film, We Bought A Zoo, by including a potential soundtrack compilation featuring "a lot of Eddie Vedder" and "a lot of Neil Young". In interview with MTV, Matt Damon describes how before even reading the screenplay, he listened to the compilation whilst running in central park. Based on Benjamin Mee's best selling memoir, in We Bought A Zoo, Matt Damon plays a widowed father who moves his family to the English countryside where they buy and begin to operate a zoo. Alongside Damon, We Bought A Zoo stars Black Widow beauty Scarlett Johansson and child actress, Elle Fanning. It is currently scheduled to open a year from tomorrow, on December 23rd, 2011 and will start shooting next month.

Hit the jump for more on the music Crowe attached to the script.

Pearl Jam frontman and singer-songwriter Eddie Vedder is no stranger to film music, having released his first solo album in 2007 as the soundtrack to Into The Wild (starring Emile Hirsch) for which he won a Golden Globe in 2008. Additionally, Vedder has contributed solo material to numerous other films too, including Dead Man Walking, A Brokedown Melody and Reign Over Me. Crowe's preference of Eddie Vedder/ Pearl Jam shouldn't come as too much of a surprise when you learn that he has also been directing an as yet untitled documentary about the group. He probably has Jam on the brain.

Neil Young also has ...

Director David Gordon Green is just about to wrap shooting on The Sitter, which means we're due for the first image from the set of star Jonah Hill in costume. Hill plays a college dropout who agrees to babysit three mischievous children, played by Max Records (Where the Wild Things Are), Kevin Hernandez, and Landry Bender. The night takes a turn for the worse when Hill loses the cocaine of drug dealers of Sam Rockwell and J.B. Smoove (Curb Your Enthusiasm), leading Hill and his charges on a chase through New York City.

The Sitter opens on July 15, 2011. Hit the jump to check out the image.

Okay, so the image itself isn't particularly mind blowing. But it's early days. At least now we know Hill's character wears dorky glasses and sports the old t-shirt/lumberjack shirt/hooded jacket combo. If I'm honest, Hill hasn't really split my sides with laughter since Superbad. But I'm fairly alone on that, I think, as fans of Get Him To The Greek will no doubt hasten to point out.

The Playlist calls the script for The Sitter is "quite funny," which doesn't excite much more than the image does. However, comedy like this is usually as much visual as scripted, and no doubt the actors will ham it up with improvisation anyway.

Green has definitely changed his directorial palette in the past few years, veering away from dramas such as Undertow and All the Real Girls. Pineapple Express, his 2008 stoner flick, was ...

Back in September we reported that The Fountain composer, Clint Mansell, was to score Duncan Jones' new film, Source Code, a logical choice given the success of their collaboration on Moon. However, there has been a change of plans, as Mansell has an issue with scheduling. Duncan Jones reported on his twitter that:
"unfortunately we weren't able to work out a schedule so Clint could do the score in the end. He has been a very busy bee."
In Mansell's place, Jones has hired Chris Bacon, "a very talented young guy", who has been working scoring films for some time but is largely unknown. A 70 piece orchestra is recording the soundtrack over the course of three days. Epic. Hit the jump for more.

Presumably it is Mansell's work with Darren Aronofsky, the director behind highly anticipated ballerina thriller Black Swan, that has prevented Jones and Mansell working together, and fans of the acclaimed composer will no doubt be disappointed by his departure. However, Duncan Jones assures us that Chris Bacon is more than up to the job, and came highly recommended by his editor, "the legendary" Paul Hirsch (Star Wars: Episodes IV and V).

If you've not heard of Bacon, don't worry - you're not missing out (yet). His composing credits to date include scoring Disney animation documentary Waking Sleeping Beauty, Space Chimps and Love Ranch. I've not seen them either. Still, this could be the emergence of some fantastic new soundtrack talent, and promising new faces in the industry are always a ...

Universal is hoping to dominate the sci-fi genre with it's new company, Syfy Films, a collaboration between Universal Pictures and the TV network, Syfy Ventures. The new organization will focus on utilizing Syfy's experience of science fiction and fantasy with the aim of releasing two movies per year by 2012, branded by the Syfy label but distributed by Universal. According to Deadline, a statement from Syfy president, Dave Howe reads, "We know there is an incredible consumer appetite for genre content as proven by the top grossing box office films…our combined expertise and resources [will allow us] to create commercially successful quality films that have the potential to become great franchises." Neill Blomkamp's District 9 is acting as the model for the new company, a movie that cost about $30 million to make, but grossed over $200 million world wide.

Hit the jump for more on the Uni-Syfy hybrid.

Fair play, if they pull a movie out of the bag even half as enjoyable as District 9, then I'll eat my words, but whilst this new venture might excite some of the Battlestar Galactica fans out there, Syfy being the network that hosted the series, in terms of films, the "original movies" that the company offers to date are beyond zany and usually downright awful - think Mansquito, Dinocroc Vs Supergator and Sharktopus.

Laughably, a statement from Universal declared, "Syfy has been incredibly successful in finding ways to produce compelling entertainment for a specific audience." Compelling might be one word to describe Mongolian ...

Paramount is backing a script by Mark Carter based on David Prill's novel, Serial Killer Days. THR report that the story takes place in a town that celebrates the annual arrival of a serial killer with a parade and a pageant. Carter has been hoping to get the book to the big screen for some time, and for a brief period it was thought that Jason Reitman was going to direct it back in 2008 but it dropped off the radar and didn't resurface until now. Assuming Carter's new draft impresses, the likelihood is that he will also direct, making it his first feature film. Producer Dan Dubiecki (Thank You for Smoking) is also on board. Hit the jump for more.

Mark Carter isn't particularly well known to your average film buff, let alone layman, but he directed an award-winning comedy short back in 2001 called The Ballad of Little Roger Mead. He discovered Serial Killer Days whilst browsing a bargain bin at Barnes & Noble in LA, and the title and premise immediately appealed to him.

The Amazon write up for the book is as follows:
David Prill mocks society's love for big-name criminals with a story about a small town in Minnesota where an annual visit (and murder) by a serial killer has become a hilarious tourist attraction--complete with floats in a "Parade of Fear," fake blood running in the streets, inflatable weapons hanging from lamp posts, and a contest to choose the new "Scream Queen." Also, it's an effective coming-of-age ...

Director Michael Mann (Heat) has hired Sheldon Turner, the screenwriter partly responsible for Clooney comedy Up In The Air, to write his new crime thriller, Big Tuna. The movie will be a biopic of Chicago crime lord Tony Accardo, and his young protege Sam Giancana, who eventually replaced him. For Michael Mann, this will be his second attempt at a gangster biopic, the first being the disappointing Public Enemies last year, which starred Johnny Depp as notorious bank robber, John Dillinger. Variety reports that Mann's chosen scribe, Sheldon Turner, is a wanted man himself at the minute, attached to numerous high profile projects including his directorial debut, By Virtue Fall, starring Colin Farrell and Eric Bana, and as producer for rom-com, Kiss and Tell. Hit the jump for more on Big Tuna and both men involved.

Mann says the film will detail the life of “an older man who was the undisputed boss at a time when the Chicago outfit was the most powerful crime element in America. It becomes a classic tragedy of megalomania and hubris.”

Mann evidently has a lot of faith in Turner's writing finesse as without backing of a studio yet, he's funding the screenwriter's seven figure fee for Big Tuna from his own development fund. Sheldon Turner is exceptionally busy with responsibilities across the board; directing, writing and producing for various studios. In addition to the titles mentioned above, he's working on Man Camp, Path's of Glory, Orbit and Two Minutes to Midnight.

The fact Big Tuna is ...
