Judging by this past weekend’s box office, some people saw Avengers: Age of Ultron. These people may also have questions about some of the film’s big reveals. While some plot points won’t be continued until further down the road in Phase Three (I expect Thor: Ragnarok to be huge in terms of setting up Infinity War), there are some moments from the movie that could use a bit of clarification.

Producer and Marvel Studios President spoke to /Film about a couple of the movie’s head-scratching moments. First up, there’s the credits scene where Thanos retrieves the Infinity Gauntlet before saying “Fine. I’ll do it myself.” But wasn’t the Infinity Gauntlet in Odin’s throne room?

Feige wouldn’t say where Thanos got the gauntlet, but he didn’t have to break into the vault to steal it:

Where is the Infinity Gauntlet when we see it in the credits? Wasn’t it in Odin’s Vault?

KEVIN FEIGE: Ah, well, I won’t tell you too much but he is not grabbing it from Odin’s Vault. That is not [Odin’s Vault].

So wherever that is has been thought out, is specific and will be answered?

FEIGE: Yes.

Feige also told CinemaBlend that "There are two different gloves. That was not Odin’s vault that you see at the end."  Will the climax of the series come down to one Infinity Gauntlet versus the other?

A more controversial moment comes earlier in the film where Nick Fury comes to the rescue with a helicarrier, which only required “dusting off some mothballs” and calling in a few favors. That’s a pretty minor explanation for such a major plot point.

It turns out there’s more to it, and Marvel’s TV branch will be taking care of the answer:

Now, when Nick Fury goes away and comes back with a Helicarrier, that seems like a big chunk of off screen story. Is that something we might see referenced on SHIELD?

FEIGE: I think it’s fair to say you could fill in some of those blanks in the coming weeks on Tuesday at 9.

Speaking to friends who watch Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. they told me the show did a good job in leading up to Age of Ultron so that while you don’t need to watch the show to enjoy the movie, the show provided a richer payoff for the events in the film, especially the opening scene. It makes sense that the show’s involvement wouldn’t end there.
