Got 29 hours to spare? Nerdiest is hosting an Ultimate Marvel Marathon at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles a week before AMC and Regal theaters. Starting on Monday, April 20th they’ll screen Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Solider, Guardians of the Galaxy and then wrap the event on Tuesday, April 21st with an early showing of Avengers: Age of Ultron. How’s that for a movie marathon?There’s also going to be a costume contest, snacks, meals and visits from special guests as well. If you make it through all 11 films, you get an exclusive commemorative poster and are entered to win two tickets to the Ant-Man world premiere. The thought of staying awake for 29 hours is already making my eyelids heavy, but if there’s ever a time to do it, this might be it.
If you don’t live in the Los Angeles area, you still might have the opportunity to see if you can meet the challenge and power through all 11 Marvel films because AMC and Regal are also hosting similar events - minus the costume contest and special appearances. Marvel Fans Assemble for THE ULTIMATE MARVEL MARATHON presented by Nerdist Industries and brought to you by Cheez-It™ and Kellogg's Rice Krispies Treats™ starting on Monday, April 20th and ending on Tuesday, April 21st. As announced by Chris Hardwick at the Nerdist Panel at WonderCon Anaheim, Nerdist Industries will present THE ULTIMATE MARVEL MARATHON; showcasing all 11 movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, culminating with Marvel's AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON.
Costume Contest and Program will begin at 6:00PM (Doors open at 5:00PM) on Monday, April 20th and ends after the 8:30PM showing on Tuesday, April 21st. Chris Hardwick along with other Nerdist talent will host the event with help from Special Guests expected to appear throughout the 29-hour engagement.
TICKETS FOR THE EVENT ARE $70.00 PER PERSON. SEATING IS LIMITED. ALL SEATS ARE RESERVED.
Attendees who see all 11 films will receive an exclusive commemorative poster and will be entered in a drawing for two tickets to Marvel's ANT-MAN World Premiere. All Guests will receive a commemorative event credential and will be treated to meals, Cheez-It™ crackers and Kellogg's Rice Krispies Treats™, plus other snacks, including popcorn served in a souvenir 130 oz. metal popcorn tub. There will be an out-of-this-world costume contest, plus fun raffles and giveaways between films.
