Disney has released the first Avengers: Age of Ultron TV spot for writer/director Joss Whedon’s Marvel sequel three months before the film’s release.  Although there’s likely a good reason the Avengers TV spot is hitting this early—Disney opted not to buy ad time for the film during this weekend’s Super Bowl, so instead they’re putting out a new spot ahead of time (as are some of the studios that actually did buy Super Bowl ad time).  It actually makes sense not to spend money on an Avengers Super Bowl spot.  The movie essentially sells itself, but I expect that won’t stop Disney from going overload with the marketing three weeks before it opens.

As for the spot itself, it’s mostly footage we’ve seen before with the same dire tone, but we do get a couple of new looks at one of the centerpieces of the film: the Hulk vs. Hulkbuster fight.  The circumstances surrounding the skirmish aren’t yet known, but judging by the footage we’ve seen thus far it’s gonna be a brutal fisticuffs.
