Marvel has released a couple new images from The Avengers showing off the poorly neglected S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders).  I’m not saying she should get top billing or that Marvel should devote less time to the superheroes.  I’m just point out that it was a big deal when the role was cast and now we’ve barely seen or heard anything from her.  Smulders is a scene-stealer on How I Met Your Mother and I’m excited to see how she’ll do in a blockbuster movie even though she doesn’t have a big role.  I’m hoping we’ll at least get another S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent as cool and charming as Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg).

JacksonThe Avengers opens in 3D on May 4th.
