We've still got a ways to go before we're treated to the epic two-film showdown that was previously known as Avengers: Infinity War - Part I and Avengers: Infinity War - Part II. They've been slated for a May 4, 2018 release, and a May 3, 2019 release respectively, and that hasn't changed in the slightest. What is new, however, is an official decree from Walt Disney Studios and Marvel Studios changing the titles of the two-parter.

Avengers: Infinity War - Part I will now be known as simply Avengers: Infinity War. The follow-up a year later has been temporarily titled Untitled Avengers. Both films will be presented in 3D, which should go without saying at this point, but it's still worth noting. The temporary title is interesting because it suggests a couple of things. Either studio brass has yet to agree on a snappy title that will appeal to casual fans and hardcore comic book readers alike, or that a major event in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be reflected in the eventual title, which could act as a spoiler if it was revealed too early. The reason could also be a combination of these factors.
