I couldn’t spot any new footage in the German trailer for The Avengers, but there’s definitely some new stuff in a Russian trailer that just went online.  For example, there’s a brief dialogue exchange between Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Loki (Tom Hiddleston), but it’s dubbed in Russian.  However, I believe it’s the exchange Tommy saw in English at D23 earlier this year.  According to Tommy, Loki says, “He has an army,” and Stark replies, “We have a Hulk.”  There’s also some brief shots of Captain America (Chris Evans) jumping out of a plane and Loki dealing some damage to our fine planet and its citizens.

Hit the jump to check out the Russian trailer.  The film also stars Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, and Samuel L. JacksonThe Avengers opens in 3D on May 4, 2012.

  1. Honestly Matt, Your vision is worrying me and more importantly you are posting false statements in your articles. You say you didn’t see hardly any new footage in the German trailer but you did in this one ? I don’t even have a keen eye, but like most readers of this site said before the German trailer had at least 35% new footage where as this Russian one just has a one second clip or two and that one exchange between Loki & Stark but thats it. Otherwise its exactly the same as the american version. Cmon Matt this is your job do better reearch, and you wonder why you have a hated following. You dont want to become the next Armond White. Or do you ?

  2. Honestly, this just does not look good. The quality is reminiscent of a TV show. The cinematography is uninspired and nothing is very exciting to behold. Whedon may have the passion, but nothing I’ve seen so far has convinced me he has the directorial chops to pull this off. I am predicting a letdown of epic proportions and a big step back for Marvel. Honestly, how much corny posing does one movie need? It’s groan-inducing.

    • THANK YOU! FINALLY SOMEONE SAYS IT! This movie looks so f*ckin cheesy. With the horrible rock music “WERE IN THIS TOGETHER YEAH!” lmaooo.

  3. find out more about real Scarlett by typing Scarlett Johansson clone in Google search bar and you would see much more then in The Island movie..

  4. It’s a massive fail, purely based on the shitty way all those cars blow up on the street. That is such a bad effect, so unrealistic, so bad… so pointless, so left over footage from some shit disaster movie.

I’m with lovetron this looks very bad.

Oh yeah and black widow should be called black pudding or black pie eater… or black cake stuffer, or black bloater….
