Ladies and gentlemen, a brand new Edgar Wright film is now in the can. The Shaun of the Dead and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World filmmaker has marked the completion of his new film Baby Driver by announcing the end of principal photography with a photo on Twitter, but we’ve still got a ways to wait before we see this thing in theaters. The movie is an entirely original story (weird, right?) written by Wright that revolves around a mute getaway driver who uses the beat of music to aid in his driving skills.

The Fault in Our Stars actor Ansel Elgort leads the picture as the titular (and decidedly non-infantile) driver, but Wright filled out the supporting cast with a terrific ensemble that includes Kevin Spacey as antagonistic crime boss Doc, Lily James (Cinderella) as Baby’s love interest Deborah, Jon Hamm as the drop-dead handsome Buddy, and Jamie Foxx as a gun-slinging character named Bats. Eiza Gonzalez and Jon Bernthal also star, making this a wonderfully diverse and exciting cast that is stacked with talent.

While Wright’s departure from Marvel’s Ant-Man was a serious bummer, it’s exciting not only that he’s back with a new film, but that it’s an entirely original story driven by music and car chases. Wright is one of the most exciting directors working today, and I’d go so far as to argue The World’s End is his best film yet, so I’m eager to see him work on an even larger canvas here with Baby Driver. One can only imagine the kind of magic he and cinematographer Bill Pope have cooked up this time around.

Baby Driver doesn’t open in theaters until March 17, 2017, but you can check out Wright’s wrap photo below along with a collection of other pictures Wright shared throughout the film’s shoot in Atlanta via his Instagram account. And yes, as you can see, Wright shot this thing on film.
