Back in December when we first learned that Banshee’s final season would be delayed, April 1st seemed like forever away. But now that we’re rounding the corner of 2016 into March, and thus, drawing ever closer to the show’s final eight episodes. It’s a bittersweet moment, because as excited as I am to see how Jonathan Tropper wraps the series up, I’m also sad to see it go.

What’s worth noting about this new trailer, though, is that it’s actually shorter and has less dialogue than the “apology promo” that was released a few months ago. Many of the scenes are the same, with the voiceover of “the past has kept you locked up long enough,” and Lucas Hood (Antony Starr) screaming “I’m not Lucas Hood!” (But will we find out his real name?) Check it out below:

The new trailer does show a few more explosions to compliment Carrie’s (Ivana Milicevic) flame thrower, the fireballs, and of course, the hailstorm of bullets coming from innumerable guns. Banshee has certainly never shied away from violence, and taking these extra months to complete the season could mean that the action set pieces will be even bigger than first planned (but hopefully it also keeps its cinematic beauty).

There is a lot for the show to wrap up, though, including the fates of Job (Hoon Lee) and Kai Proctor (Ulrich Thomsen). Plus, will Brock (Matt Servitto) ever come to trust Hood? And what about Rebecca’s (Lili Simmons) attempts at power grabs, and her budding partnership with Clay (Matthew Rauch)? And who will Sugar (Frankie Faison) reprimand next?

Banshee's season posters are also famous for giving some clues about what's to come, so what do we think the message is of this new one? Who's dead, and what does that knife (sword?) possibly mean? You can see the full poster below, and I suppose we’ll find out soon enough, Fanshees. Banshee’s final season will start April 1st on Cinemax.
