We’ve seen Batman: Arkham City villain trailers featuring Catwoman, The Riddler, The Penguin, and Mr. Freeze but with less than a month to go until the game’s release, it’s time to give a trailer to Bats’ biggest bad, The Joker.  The Joker was running the show in Batman: Arkham Asylum but from what we know so far, it looks like Dr. Hugo Strange is in charge of Arkham City.  The new video game is packed to the gills with Batman’s foes (in addition to the aforementioned rogues, there’s also Harley Quinn, Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Calendar Man, Victor Zsasz, Talia al Ghul, Solomon Grundy, and Deadshot), but I refuse to believe that developer Rocksteady would make Joker just another baddie.

We’ll all find out when Batman: Arkham City is released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 18th.  Hit the jump to check out the new trailer.

  1. I, like most Batman TAS fans, always thought of Mark Hamill’s interpretation of the joker to be delightfully creepy and at times downright sinister (albeit RIDICULOUSLY funny) . . . . . but i didn’t truly see the “scare the sh*t out of you” potential until Batman Beyond’s Return of the Joker. . . . . unfortunately with the batman villain embargo on JLU, it was clear that we would be seeing this new side of the joker for the last time.

Thankfully, with TDK and the late great Heath ledger, Dark joker is in demand once again, and its nice to see Mark Hamill come back and show Evil Joker in all his “not fit for Sat morning cartoon show” glory!

    Conroy & Hamill 4ever!

  2. If they’re gonna reboot the Batman character after TDK RISES, they oughta just let these guys behind the ARKHAM games make full-length CGI movies. I’d be all over that.

  3. This has got to be the single greatest performance of Mark Hamill as the Joker. If this trailer is indicative of the rest of the game…..he needs to retire for good after this because there will be no topping it.
