It's been too long since we saw a new Batman: Arkham Knight trailer, but Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has now given us a fresh look at the upcoming video game, which takes place one year after the events of Batman: Arkham City and finds the titular superhero squaring off against Scarecrow, who has united Batman’s enemies in a plot to finally kill The Bat.  To make matters more complicated, the mysterious "Arkham Knight" is in the mix.

In this trailer, we get a good look at some of the gameplay.  Specifically, we see how developer Rocksteady has attempted to seamlessly integrate the Batmobile into the combat by having Batman leap out of the vehicle to fight his enemies.  If you're asking why Batman doesn't just run everyone over, remember that Batman doesn't kill people.  Hitting a person with a fast-moving assault vehicle tends to result in vehicular homicide.  But the gameplay does look cool, although I'm always wary of vehicles in video games because so many have awful controls.  Hit the jump to check out the new Batman: Arkham Knight trailer.  The game hits PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 2, 2015.

Here’s the official synopsis for Batman: Arkham Knight:

In the explosive finale to the Arkham series, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city he is sworn to protect. The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains, including Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, to destroy The Dark Knight forever. Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady’s uniquely designed version of the Batmobile, which is drivable for the first time in the franchise. The addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Batman Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City.
