Well, if you were prepared to get the first few seconds of footage from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice tomorrow, hold on to your butt. Director Zack Snyder just tweeted a video teasing the Batman v Superman IMAX trailer event on Monday during which the full trailer will debut, and the promo shows off the costumes for both Henry Cavill’s Superman and Ben Affleck’s Batman.

You can sign up to land tickets to your local IMAX screening of the event right here, but be warned that this is only taking place in a select number of theaters. Each IMAX debut of the trailer will be preceded by an introduction from Snyder himself, but since this theatrical event is so limited, I imagine the full trailer will be released online around the same time.

This is certainly curious timing for Warner Bros. to kick off its Batman v Superman marketing campaign. We knew it was coming soon with the summer movie season and all, but most expected it to begin after Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron had opened in theaters, making way for Batman v Superman to dominate the conversation.

But I have to admit, I like the confidence. Warner Bros. is thrusting the first look at footage from its big DC Universe movie--the one that will definitively kick off a series of interconnected DC superhero films--in the midst of not only Age of Ultron buzz, but also Star Wars Celebration and the unveiling of a new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer tomorrow. Game on.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice also stars Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Jesse Eisenberg, Gal Gadot, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, Scoot McNairy, and Jason Momoa and opens in theaters on March 25, 2016.
